I've looked at that...actually found a black one by me. I just feel that, that car should be kept for the weekend and driven on the track. Awesome car though.

Waste everyones time? I was curious how someone managed to get on "probation" on a car forum, so I looked at some of your posts.

I think If I had $140k in the bank to spend on a car I wouldn't try to save a couple bucks buying 2 used tires? I think you are wasting everyones time with this thread.

Also your comment about all the haters... I have never seen so many people hate on anyone with out good reason. You might be socially retarded...?

Frame of reference?

What will the car be used for? What do you like in a car. will you ever track it? Is it a weekend, special daily driver or what?.

At that price I would be stepping into an Aston Martin only because I've probably already had a GT3 or GT2. The Gallardo is cool but I'm not moved by the angular look. Maybe a Ford GT to be different.

I'd use it on a daily basis. I just want something I can enjoy.

And I'd probably not take it to the track.

The CLK63 BS is a wonderful car but it is no track car or weekend car to me. It is a fantastic daily drivable AMG with the limits pushed way up but it falls short of most track toys and lacks the impracticality of most weekend only cars.

You may want to look again and see if you can drive one to see if you like it. As based on your comments, you are not after a driver's car if the Gallardo, GT3, and GT2 aren't of interest and exclusivity is.

I am not putting you down in anyway just trying to point you in a direction that may better serve you.

My choice for enjoyable hotrods that aren't too sporty (in a track biased sense) would be:

1. SL65
2. CLK63 BS
3. '08 CL65

For something more "common", try an AMV8. They make fine daily drivers but are more common where I am then a CLK63, or SL65. But frankly, I could care less about what other people think about the car I drive as I have nothing to prove.

Wow, that would take up about as many parking spots as an Escalade!

Gallardo. Much more fun than the other cars (maybe besides the Porsche GT3) and will turn more heads than a pantyless Britney Spears. Of course, I'm biased but that is from my experience.

Gallardo if you have another luxury car as a co-daily driver. DB9 if you want it soley as a daily and are a bit 007....Last choice: Bentley GT if you dont live in LA (too many here).

Great car but bulletproof? Maybe I have just seen a bunch of unlucky guys but it seems as if every time one shows up at the track, it has issues or breaks.

At the heart of every GT40 is a Ford, at the heart every Gallardo is an Audi.

Has anyone here seen the Tesla? I know it looks like a Miata, but the performance for an electric cars is outstanding!

It's kinda cool...but I'd rather roll in a V12TT than a HotWheels battery car.

Ford GT or Bentley GT. Depends on whether you want more speed or more comfort. Two very different animals, but two of the best cars I've owned!

haters crazy
If its a daily driver I say you pick up a used renntech SL65 for like $100k.

Or you can get a 996TT and send it to protomotive and have them build you a beast!

A turbo viper would be a horrible daily. Just like a big single supra.

996 Turbo tip. Send it to me and I will give you back a Evolution GT740. Relatively reasonable to tune, and once I'm done, it will be faster than 99.998% of anything you will run across in Chicago. Unless you run into the GT800 I have running around here somewhere.
