I thought the exhaust had an excellent tone. Fitment was just a bit off and it wound up melting the rear bumper a bit. The shop (AI Design) had to add a piece of piping to make it fit as well.
So yeah, besides that there was one other issue with my exhaust. I called Eisenhaus and asked them if the muffler would make a droning noise while cruising. He assured me that the point of getting such a high quality muffler is that it has no drone and sounds similiar to stock when cruising.
In reality, the thing droned so bad that it loosened up the bolts holding in the rear power sunshade and I would have to go to the dealer every month to get everything tightened up so the rattles would stop. I eventually got sick of it and sold it to another forum member. From there, I went to an electronic cutout "dump" exhaust with a switch. Better tone and an on and off switch

The funniest part of this is that when I went to AI Design and told them I could buy an Eisenmann exhaust from a different vendor (Eurotek I think carried them), they said "Listen buddy, if you want to do this, do it right. You don't want to buy from a shady vendor and get a cheap knockoff. You want the real deal." And I ponied up the extra $ and bought it off Eisenhaus.

And I bet prolly 99% of what they sold was fake...Eisenhaus probably only ordered from Eisenmann whatever the minimum amount required was to maintain the distributorship, and then picked up the rest from their el-cheapo fake factory in Korea...
Everyone here who has one has probably got a fake. I would definitely sue.

Is anybody noticing what Eisenhaus is trying to do now? They're saying they're releasing a line of exhausts called Meisterschaft, which is probably just the Korean ripoffs of Eisenmann's stuff. Somebody want to be the guinea pig and call them out on it?

If you buy thinking like that, you'll end up with a shoddily-welded, poorly fitting piece of crap built out of pot-metal, and it's guna melt your rear bumper and start rusting and leaking after a year or two...
Look at exhausts on ricers that are more than about 12-18 months old and see how they hold up. You don't want some fake thing with quality issues.

There is a good chance it was a fake system but how can any of us know unless we had a team take the fake and the real cut them open and compare so its going to be hard.

They only show one version (part number) for the W211 E55 sedan, so it makes me wonder about the so-called "sport" and "race" versions some vendors were selling here in the USA.
There is also a sound clip; sounds pretty good.

I mean, short of a bunch of Koreans jumping out of the crate when you opened it, what other warning signs would you need?
