What kind of watches do my fellow E55 brethren wear?
www.panerai.com
Check out their website. I am pretty sure they have a lot more pieces than listed on that site, but that will give you the gists.
This thread is helpful; might look into the VC as well... checked out their website looks like they have some really nice models.
The way your dad looked at it, this watch was your birthright. He'd be damned if any slopes gonna put their greasy yellow hands on his boy's birthright, so he hid it, in the one place he knew he could hide something: his ***. Five long years, he wore this watch up his ***. Then when he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my *** for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you.
I love that watch

I recognized the quote. This watch I got here was first purchased by your great-grandfather during the first World War. It was bought in a little general store in Knoxville, Tennessee. Made by the first company to ever make wrist watches. Up till then people just carried pocket watches. It was bought by private Doughboy Erine Coolidge on the day he set sail for Paris. It was your great-grandfather's war watch and he wore it everyday he was in that war.

Lots of real nice watched mentioned on this thread....plenty of variety and tastes it seems...
First is a Gucci 8505 Stainless Steel. Asking $740 OBO.

The other is a Breitling Chronomat Evolution diamond bezel diamond dial mother of pearl. Asking $9842. Have all papers. Purchased last year and will be sending it in to get serviced tomorrow.

PM me for more details.

Swapped the original strap (lizard or something like that) for an every day HR cowhide.
Kinda simple and subtle. And it even keeps time.
I'm obviously not a bling sorta guy
It's the plain and subtle route for me.

they are both horrible looking replicas

And even if it was real (which it isn't) that price is like 3X-4X what that watch is worth. Who knew we'd get such pwnage in a watch thread...

Does MBWorld make you get one and enter the serial number before you can register or something? Virtually every guy who posted in this thread has one. I honestly can't say I've ever looked at one, are they nice?
