Dyno Problems!!!
Your car is an 06..
If it is dropping to 10:1 at 5,000RPM and over then you have 1 of 3 problems:
1) Too much heat, ECU is pulling timing and dumping fuel
2) Belt is slipping like S.O.B.
3) The load limiters in your ECU were not programmed out with the Evotech flash and ECU is bleeding boost by opening bypass valve and dumping fuel. This is what we corrected and R&D'd on Jangy's 2006 VR550 package.
More than likely, Evotech does not have the proper parameters in the ECU for 2006 cars to deal with the load limiters. The only way to know 100% is datalog the car and see if the boost drops back down to 12psi from 15psi when RPM goes above 4,500RPM. If you see boost drop at high RPM then you know its your load limiters kicking in. (NOTE: You have to first make sure your belt isnt slipping.. check for belt dust and frayed edges to be sure it isnt the belt first..)

Well.. you are definitely loosing power.. You are probably down 30-40hp if not more.
It is not dangerous.. it is actually safe because the ECU just dumps fuel which keeps everything cool and under control. Just that your car is not running as it should.
And also, if those guys are trying to tap a "boost reading" I would turn and RUN the other way... You dont tap boost on dyno pulls..

However, I have not done and have not heard someone doing this on the E55 yet.

Tapping a boost source during a dyno is actually very commonly done.
Not something you can do at the dyno shop, well quickly.
