Been away from Mercedes since my 300SD/240D, Great cars! I'm inches away from buying a 2001 E55 with 108K on it. One owner MB serviced since day one. I've heard this car is pretty bulletproof, not one with may problems. My thinking is the cars engine is overbuilt and if it was used for the daily commute 108K is nothing for mileage. I also have stayed away in the past becuase of electrical issues, does this car have those concerns.
Can anyone out there give me some insight on this car.

You may want to post on the W210 E55 board as those guys know more about your car. My general opinion is that the W210 is more bulletproof than the W211 as it is a simpler design. Not to mention that many older MB cars were more solid in general.
