Inner front tyre damage

Car is lowered with an ELM. The high speed lowering at 70mph is not disabled, so it does drop a bit further on the motorway. The front tyres are standard size PS2 with standard offset (original wheels) and have rubbed on the inside, quarter of an inch in from the tyre wall, in a strip about half an inch wide, so badly that the canvas is showing - I only noticed it when the wife parked the car and left the steering at full lock.
Also there is a noise going past 125mph up to 130, over this it dissapears, and I am wondering if the car is lowering yet again at this speed and rubbing the tyres.
The car is set low - but obviously not to get the vehicle too low warning. Any suggestions please....

Which ELM? Sounds just like you are wearing that inner ring on your tires because of your camber. I don't care if you take the shocks out, the OEM setup should NEVER rub on anything.
Figure out if the rubbing is from the tire to something or if it could just be the way it wore. If it is because of the camber, just be patient. VRP will have a real solution soon ().

Had the car up on a lift - and you are right Jangy - it is tyre wear not rubbing.

It seemed too extreme to be just wear. The rest of the tyre is all good with good tread depth left on it, just the inside edge is gone......

Any one make camber adjusters already to correct this - I assume that the geometry is changed because the car is lowered, surley OE setup would not wear tyres like this?

Currently, there are only offset bushings available. I've used them in the past and not at all a fan. It is one of those things that you either love or hate. If you are into show, then it is an easy fix. BUT, to me it ruins the ride.

I am working on a real fix and a quick fix for this. The quick fix will have a modified plate at the top. I am basically pulling the top of the strut out to get the angles back to OEMish. The real fix is to replace the control arms, etc. with adjustable ones.
