Jim...Your car made 531 HP without ECU tuning on 18 wheels ???
So Rockets car would be close with 18s wheel...IF recall correctly Vadim said 20s atre worth around 12 or 18 whp !!!

Hey Jim, you know I had modified my box, right? It had the Jangy treatment!! Nah, just messing.
A good point was brout up. The box does replace the Y with much less restriction and increase in areal volume. Also, the box internals raise the filtered air volume.
How the Y replacement helps should be obvious.
The added volume (post filter) to me is what is impressive. When you raise the volume on the backside, you are changing the pressure delta accross that membrane. It is basically like adding a reservoir just before the TB. It reduces inlet pressure, so the SC pulls in more air volume per "pump".
So, you may ask why this pressure differential doesn't die out after the flow is steady? The answer is that it does SOME. From a dig, you have more pre-filtered air ready for the pull so you get a nice launch.
But even once under way, having a larger sump on the backside of the filter allows it to be a lower pressure point (gasses compress), thus literally sucking in more air. It basically takes away some of the backpressure AT THE membrane.
It will be an interesting with and without dyno on my car.

Still his car is now ON FIRE. Incredible numbers. If Sacto raceway wasn't a deathtrap now, I would love to see what she would run now.

McFarland Ca.,
We should hook up all the modded 55's and hit Infineon or Famoso.
It needs to be soon cause its heating up.
We are going up this weekend To attempt the first sub 12 second 63 pass. This is where modded 55 just hit 11.58 @120.44 on a less than perfect 60ft.
Lets go get off the flipping dyno's and onto a TRACK!

If Rocket or I put down a 11.4 or more, I think we would get the boot without full cage??
What's your take on it. See any track ****'s down there Juice?
That's what was great about Sacto.
"I think I am going to die on this run"
Sacto guy with Cuban poking out, "Good luck to ya kid. See ya on the other side"

Your car sub at 11.40's technically needs a "roll bar" not a cage. No matterwhat HP you are cranking out you still gotta hook and that will never happen at SAC. we could speak to the track manager and ask if they would be strict with a car wit 20 air bags and steel in the roof comparable to many roll bars. The one in the SL pops up , thats cool. Hey we will never know less you run and we could always do a BENZ rental where they would be less likely to toss ya.
I think if you were with the right crew :-) they would let ya slide.

I dont think they would care unless you trapped at 135 and or ran an 10.99.

set up a rental after jackpro is done and lets tear it up juice! If Neveos car is done we will drag him out there also.

Sub 11.5 and you need a roll cage according to NHRA rules. Most test and tunes are pretty strict about that. That being said, you still get to rip one good pass. If you dont get a good launch, LET OFF! That way you dont get kicked out til after you make a good pass.
