Want to Pull The Trigger

I'm close to buying a 2004 E55 with 48000 mi. The car is black on black, has Pano, Nav, Sirius, comfort seats, and the lighting package. Price with 3 years of MB CPO is $47,000. The car is stock with no mods. I've been lurking for quite awhile. I can't seem to tell if this is a good deal. I've run the VMI and have the actual service records from the single owner (prior to dealer trade-in). The car is clean and seems to be in good condition, but will need new tires in the fall. What do y'all think?

I think there are better deals out there especially on an 04. I think you could find an 04' E55 with less than 20,000 miles 1 owner non CPO from a private seller for under 47,000.

I just got a 2006 E55 White w/ pano distronic parktronic dynamic seats keyless go trunk closer w/ 24,000 miles and I love it. just a thought.

Also, I've had a CLS55 for 1 year allready and for me to go out and purchase an E55 I thinkthat tells you how much I love these cars so I highly recommend that you make the right purchase. I would even buy a 2003 with less than 20,000 miles fully loaded if I was you. That just shows that the person never drove it

i wouldn't say its a good deal. i got an 05' blk/blk with 15k, nav, seats, xenons, ac seats, for $46,500. Has 1 year left on manufacturers warranty. It looks brand new. Be patient and selective and you will find a great deal.

I've seen E55s from 03-05s going around in the low $40K, I'd keep searching around. Or go to the mbusa.com Pre Owned Vehicle listings.

Good Luck

More like 40-41k max is where you should be on it.

Sounds like $40-42 with 3 years of remaining CPO to 100,000mi is the going rate. I thought 3 years of MB CPO warranty was pretty expensive, say around $3500.

Well, I reworked the deal. With a 3 year CPO warranty the car can now be bought from the dealer for $44997. I'd say that is not bad for a 2004 with 48,000 miles. The dealer won't budge any further. What is the consensus?

1. No such thing as 3 year CPO warranty, only 1 year @ $2395 plus a 2 year @ $3995. so 3 year CPO is $6,390.

Most high mile 2004 E55s $42K then add MB warranty $48K
Here is one to check out compare.

The dealer is willing to add 2 years to the 12 month/100,000 at his cost. So really, it is 3 more years.

Be patient, patient. Wait for the perfect one to come along and pull the trigger. You will never regret it. Some people dream of growing old with their wives, I want to grow old with my E55.

I can tell you want it. All these people are saying wait but you'll get it. Just think, you'll put 24,000 ticks on it over the next two years and have a 6-7 year old car with no warranty and 72 ticks on the clock. Spend a little more jack now and get an '06 with low miles with the color and equipment you want. Then think about adding a MBCPO warranty (if possible) and you'll have something that will last. Just my .02.
