Your opinon on these wheels on SL65...

http://www.ccwheel.com/files/wheelpr...l.php?id=sp510

I'd post on the SL forum but we get so much more traffic here. I've had a good experience with CCWheel SP18 on my E55...just good construction, lighter weight, and fair price.

I'm also looking at BBS and HRE's, but this wheel has grown on me.

Looking @ 19" x 8.5" (255 profile tire) front and 19" x 11" (305 profile tire) with any wheel I decide on...

While the quality of that wheel is excellent it doesnt fit the body or style of the SL IMO. That wheel would seem better fit for a 997.

Personally I would go with 20's on the SL- 19's get swallowed up by the car's larger curves and fenders. You can do aggressive fitment on these cars with 20x9 and 20x11's and 4 inch rear lips- wheels are made better and better these days so weight should not be a huge issue and its a 65 so who cares

I think you could do better on the wheels.
Maybe like a 3 piece wheel.
20's or something to that affect.

that's just my opinion.

Radernergie?

I like this in a mirror polish, but not chrome (I live near the Gulf of Mexico and I don't like getting chrome in areas like this...).

i never liked CCW, their quality might be great but their designs need to be desired, unless you really really like polished looks (most their wheels i see are polished)

on another hand, an aftermarket wheel that you spend $$$ on, does it really need to grow on you, or should it be passion/hotness/drool in the garage over it at first sight? i think i'd rather only buy a wheel that i love from the get go.

gl with your decision, car looks good

CCW is a nice wheel, but doesnt fit a Benz. The Radenergie is a great wheel IMO, but a bit on the heavy side.

It might be a net zero effect if I go with lighter rotors (like on my E55 - Evosport).

I'm not sure about the first question. AS far as MB is concerned, they are *****s about any mod you do especially if a repair of any kind is in question. Our patronage doesn't mean squat if their is a question about any repair. So modders keep your eyes open and be prepared to fight it out or bite the bullet with MB.

I'll keep modding because I love my Beast.

These (Radenergie) I think would look good. The CCW's are not to my taste on an SL.

the dealer actually told me that they honor the BRABUS UPGRADES . So i guess they must bend a bit . But the kicker was they must do the install . But the kit for my car thru Brabus is 18,500.00 . that was the cost upcharge to purchase the 08 CL coupe . So FaaaaaaHHHHKKKKK DAT !!!!

lets rephrase this , service tech said yes they do to Brabus and the service manager said NO!!! They do not honor any upgrades even though exhaust and headers are overlooked all the time .

I like the rims on youe E, and should you move to a SL I know your choice will be a tasteful one.
