Dyno Mode

Would it help to run in dyno mode at the track, or could that cause my S to go into limp mode?

It is a good way to lose control of the car and run into a lot of immovable objects.

Think you need some more sticky tires to run in dyno mode at the track.

Nearly all safety features will be disabled so she better run straight and true.

Works great though.

Here's mine running in dyno mode at Sacto with Drag Radials

I use it at the 1/4 mile track, but not at the road tracks. Up to you. ALL safety features are shut off.

dyno mode isn't an "m" button. it doesn't improve shifts or add power so there's zero reason to use it at the track and in many cases using it for prolonged period does cause the tranny to go into it's own limp mode.

if the car goes into limp mode, is it easy to reset?

Usually it's just a restart. Sometimes a "pull the key and open the door", then restart, but mostly just a restart. I've never had it happen and I am throwing down some serious horse to my stock tranny.

Wouldn't recommend you drive around at all in dyno, but for the track it would be okay.

Again, just know that ESP does really work great (or they wouldn't call it the fun police). Once I had an ESP error which disabled ESP on the my car, yet full power was still there. Pulled out of a gas station and punched it......whoooooooooooo, a-ss end came right around on me. ESP would have shut her down and done her magic on the rear brakes to stop that. It was a trip seeing how much it really does.

If you start to go sideways on Sacto (VERY good possibility) it's all up to you how to fix it. Car won't help at all. Long as you know that, I can sleep tonight.

Good luck and be safe.

the only thing dyno mode is good for is to warm the tires/burn out before the race. other than that like mikey said it cant unleash some secret power!

I totaly understand, I just wan to see how much power ESP really takes, I know in the begining it would only hurt me than help me, cause I don't even launch right with only the esp off, in regular mode, so I know with ESP 100% off I got to know exactly how to launch, which is far from being perfect on my end.
