Garage Door Opener
I recently had a new Chamberlain Garage door opener installed in the 2 car garage section of our home. I can get the opener to work with my SL and CL but no matter how many times that I tried I cannot get my wife's 2006 E55 to work. The other 2 cars were programmed using the rolling code instructions in the owner's manual. I have erased the previous codes in her car to be sure that I was starting from scratch. Any suggestions other than using the remote that came with the opener?
Thanks

On the opener itself, it should have a red training button next to the light bulb. You need to press that first to get it into the learning mode (a red light will start to flash), then go back to your car and sync it up.
No need to use the remote that came with the opener.

I have lost my owners manual and also just got a new opener. What do you have to do in the car itself (with the opener buttons under the mirror) to get the car to open a new door motor?

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
LKircher - as you obviously know the process, sorry I don't know what could be going wrong.....
As for the post above me,
First clear the codes (on mirror, hold garage buttons 1 and 3 -outsides- for about 25 secs... until light flashes rapidly
Take external opener, hold about 1 inch from mirror, AT SAME TIME press the opener button and the button on mirror you wish to program - garage will open/close this is fine. Hold until mirror light flashes rapidly (10-20 secs)
Next, you have a limited time to do this - run in your garage, look up at your box, hit the learn/smart button, a light will usually activate, go back to car and press the button you initiated in the programming earlier. Hold for approx. 5 secs, if the garage door does not operate then, release, press again for approx 5-10 secs and that should take care of it.
If you ever mess up, start by clearing the codes all again (1 and 3)
Hope this helps!!

Gate opener
Do you have a gate opener in your window for a gated neighborhood? If so you have to take the battery out of it as it sends out a constant signal and that would interfere with your programming.
