Service issue need help!!!!
My cousin bought an 04-E55 with 27k miles,clean-great condition.A service light came on and he took it to a dealership for regular A service.
Yesterday a service advisor call and told him that additional service needed
1.Dust filter,Brake Flush and Fuel induction service $300
2.Main battery (high capacity one according to the service advisor) $300
3.Suspension component little worn-out (toque strut and bushing) $770
Is price sounds right and does he really need to change it?
Thank you

Now you know why it's called the stealer, just keep the oil changed and forget all service, you will be happier and richer with no worries. Those things they are just creating stress for you.

It's an '04, doesn't it still have some warranty left? The suspension issue would definitely be covered under warranty, and so would the battery, so that's most of the $$$ on the list right there...
As to the rest of it, I can't imagine how you need a fuel rail cleaning on a 4yr old car, that just sounds hokey to me and I think he's trying to take your money.
I do agree with the brake fluid flush though...water builds up in the fluid due to condensation, and it definitely affects performance. I do brake fluid every couple of years, so 4yrs and I think it's probably time for that.
