Depends who you ask. Many people have got excellent reselts from a dirt cheap tune called "Juice Box" from Burger Motorsports. You can buy it with a "race switch" and "hot pills," each pill adds .75psi of boost and the switch adds 3psi. You can have it all for around $500. This tune also has not experienced many problems such as limp modes like the Vishnu tune has while being 1/3 the cost of vishnu.

Eurobahn Motorsports in Fremont, Ca do them. Im getting my E500 done there on Monday and i seen the one he had for the 335i. its 599.00 but you can work him down about to 550 and no tax if you pay cash. he told me that you get 40hp to the WHEELS . and hes dont many of them. pm me if you want some info on who to contact down there for your neighbor, they might give you a better deal.

I'm considering Dinan.... I know it's a bit pricier than vishnu or turbo tuner... but it has 4yr/50k warranty and they claim to be 384 on the wheels (stock is around 290 on the wheels).

Thankyou everyone for your time in responding and you thoughts.
Dinan with that waranty and all the HP seems to be the way to go even if its 4 times the cost of the others. Wow that is cheap HP, I think I need one of thoes lil 335s to bad I wouldnt fit in it.lol.

Thanks again guys!

I would do more research regarding Dinan on BMW forums. There is some controversy regarding full warranty... apparently not all BMW dealers will honor the warranty if you have Dinan modification.

2.5 ///Ms and never a big Dinan fan. I could see how the warranty seems attractive....Whatever happened to Jim Conforti(Shark) tuner?

Juice Box seems to give similar and more consistent runs compared to Vishnu Procede and without CELs appearing. Vishnu would pull timing after 2 runs and you can really feel it. My friend has tried both and this was his feedback.

Exactly, and at the same time there are multiple dealers that will warranty the Turbo Tuner while others wont.

From what I hear is that it's not BMW warranty.... if there's a problem caused by Dinan, Dinan will pay for the repair.

I know it won't be as smooth as new car warranty.... there could be some finger pointing.... but as long as you only have Dinan mods and no other aftermarket parts, it should be OK.

Rocket: You could always get 535 It's only 100-150 lbs heavier than 335 Just like E55 w/ vs. w/o pano roof.

Warranties are the same for all mods. The only thing that is different is the help you get (or don't) from the tuner IF you get flagged.

Having said that, I know a bunch that went Vishnu and are happy. Personally, I would never consider anyone other than Dinan. They are the ones that raised my expectations for tuners. I had a fully trick M3 and they helped me everytime I had a concern. I loved them so much that I have hounded them to enter the MB market. One sign is look at who they allow to carry and install their products. It isn't just any shop and they will not stand for their rep getting trashed because of the actions of a small time shop.

Last thing, just for the record the Vishnu around here got flagged, but I think it was because they saw they saw the intercooler.

Go look on e90post.com in the classifieds. When I checked two weeks ago, there were 30+ Procede units for sale on the first 3 pages alone, one of which was being offered for free.

Car Whore
I would just get a "SSTT" its a 100% plug and play. Not as much HP as JuiceBox or Vishnu, but the plug and play factor is great.
The JB, Vishnu, AA, all require some splicing of wires. Not my cup of tea for a simple piggy back.
The Dinan is a flash.

I would go SSTT (turbo tuner)

or JB2x (multiple choices of boost and Racing map)

and run 100 oct gas when you want to have extra fun.

add a FMIC and try to leave the exhaust as stock as possible.

dealers are fully aware of the piggy back and exhaust mods.

Bwm recently released a new performance intake, which will help a car with additional boost.

Warren ran a 12.1x @ 112.x mph with the Juice Box and slicks here at Famoso during our track rental last month.

He said he was happy with it although he did mention that sometimes, it would leak PSI slowly over the course of multiple runs, but experienced non on his last visit.

About Dinan...... almost everyone I talked to personally with Dinan upgrades swear by them: they told me they're very high quality products, excellent customer service, and great to deal with. However, they are also very expensive and very conservative on their upgrades.

I don't know for Vishnu and AA but Juice box doesnt have you "splice wires" all you do is pull a few wires out of the factory plug and then simply plug them into the Juice box harness then take the other wires from the JB harness and plug them into the location on the stock harness plug where you pulled the others out. It is very simple to do and there is no cutting or splicing of wires. Im sure that it is probably the same deal with the Vishnu and AA tunes.

my buddy is getting the dinan upgrade with the intercooler. the claim is 380hp and 420tq. The BMW dealership told him that if the install is done by their technicains the warranty is fully covered.

He may want to get the warranty claim in writing...

I heard Evotech has most powerfull tune for 335i...410HP crank HP ECU and Catsback exhaust...but that is probably on racinf fuel..so any other ECU would make the same...

From what I've heard, go Dinan. It gets you a ton of power, and the quality/power/war. are all worth it. Damn, these things are gonna be unstoppable when they figure out the turbo kits.

I say www.Activeautowerke.com

http://www.activeautowerke.com/viewp...x?id=Product73

This is the best in my opinion as it acts like an AEM standalone. With this you can mod your car however you want and just program the ECU with a laptop. Gives you the potential to add mods as you go and even go balistic with hp down the road for future mods.
