Nitrous intercooler sprayer?

Already looked at it. It won't give you the same results as the ones shown on their website. Our intercooler is actually under the blower and the heat exchanger is in the front of the car. You could spray the heat exchanger for some reduction in IAT's I am sure. How much is anyones guess.
Let us know if you decide to try it out.
There actually might be enough room under the intercooler to mount the spraybar unit but I would be too scared to remove the blower to install and try it.
Plus super freezing parts like that I hear is a big no no.

Ya i figured if it hasnt been done already theres probably a reason why. I dont think im gonna mess with it. Im already getting a larger heat exchanger so ill see how that goes.

couple people have tried it...
it's a track only mod and worth 1 run at a time. too much trouble imho but results in a good tenth and 1mph through the 1/4mile. i guess when comparing to the price of other hp mods to our cars it's not too bad.
not a good idea right in front of the intake tubes. if sucked in, co2 will kill power and n2o, while adding power, will lean you out. iirc, frank tried to cool the heat exchanger via a similar method with little to no effect in iat's (but it's been so long i may be wrong).

I don't know if this works or not, but I guess it makes sense. I see a lot of the kids with turbo imports at the strip with those lawn and garden pump up fertilizer tanks filled with ice water, some of them even use water and dry ice. They just pump them up and spray a cold mist on their intercoolers. Most of them are front mounted or top mounted intercoolers so it is pretty easy, not sure where the coolers are on a 55. Drawbacks I have noticed is that it can leave some water on the pavement causing problems for other people if they drive through it if they are not careful. They all swear by it for track day events.

BTW- if you do get a little nitrous in the intake it will not lean you out. It will be picked up by the MAF and will be compensated with fuel. Its like a dry shot. You will get a little more power as a bonus lol. I only planne don spraying the HE before a pass, not during.
The people that spray their intercoolers with a water/alcohol mix usually have front mount intercoolers and it does work. Also they usually air to air intercoolers, not like our air to water so its a different ballgame
