I had mines removed at an autoshop I have been going to for years. It was a real pain in the *** getting them removed.. The guy basicially pushed them out from behind but they were tight as a **** and did not want to come out.
I had the clear ones put on with the blue bulb, they look great.

These are the ones I bought last week: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-08...2433QQtcZphoto

I had thought the install would be simple like the '03-'06 211 side markers...nope. Now I have to find a place to install the clear markers.

Does anyone have DIY directions on how to remove the factory amber corners on the E63? I received my clear corners, got under my car, dropped the lower pan, reached up but could not remove the factory light. I was squeezing the two tabs toward the back half of the light but it would not budge.

Shouldn't be that difficult right?

Though I own an E55, I purchased the clear side markers from the same supplier on ebay and am very happy. I have no mechanical apptitude at all and changed the side markers with ease. I used a small diameter flat screw driver and popped the ugly orange ones out. Honestly two or three minutes max for both.

That is true for a MY05. On a MY07+ its a lot more fun while possibly busting knuckles. See regular W211 forum for additional info.
