I just test drove the QP last week, and coincidentally I was in love with the QP until a week ago. After driving it for about 10 seconds I realized that they had their heads far up their asses when they built the tranny; I have never felt anything like it. After about 2 blocks I realized that the paddle shifters (which are a pretty expensive option from what I remember) are attached to the steering column. Thats right, they do not turn with the wheel. I asked the salesman why and even he couldnt pull an answer out of his ***. I was thinking "doucheface, if I want paddle shifters, it's for the turns, not the straights. The auto tranny can do a better job in the straights than I can." After a few more blocks I calmly pulled over and got out, I then asked the salesman to drive the car back. Horrible ****ing experience.
Beaitiful interior though. Amazing attention to detail. My favorite feature, you can control the front passenger seat with a button in the rear armrest. Stupid I know, but it's the small things that make it.
If you were deciding between an S550 and the QP there might be SOME competition, but a 63? Come on man. The maintenence costs alone will keep you up at night.
Im sure you'll be happy with whichever you get though, on some level or another. Good luck and post pics after you pick on up.

If you are looking for rare and without alot of horsepower, I can make you a great deal on a '34 Lagonda Rapier.Originally Posted by Mr. AMG 20
Im not really concerned with speed as i am already in trouble for speeding. I like the looks of the qp gts and it is more rare on the road.
There's only three in the US, and with less than 70HP you won't be bothered by all those pesky police officers.

Get the Maserati. Everyone has the new S-class. They're like cabs here in NYC.

Paddle shifters connected to the column are better for the twists as ones that turn with wheels are easy to "lose." Maserati got that one right. It's one of the few faults on my M5.Originally Posted by W211 BEAST

Out of the S63 and QP, I'd recommend the S63. I would skip Pano though. QP's are very common in Los Angeles and just don't do it for me in any way.
GodFatha - how dare you post a picture of a stock car!!!!!!!!
DAMN HOT!!!! so wheels are you going to slap on that beast?

That's west L.A. for ya. They are very common, but that in itself is no reason not get one if you like them. Handling is excellent.Originally Posted by Mr. AMG 20

The S63 looks more of a mans car than the Maserati.
