I had planned to go down, but the weather does not look so good. Maybe we can shoot for next Friday? I keep my helmet in my trunk now, just in case.
Just can't decide if I am going to mount my DR's and leave them on the car for the season or sell them. The thought of mounting them and taking them off every time I want to hit the track just seems like a giant PITA. $930 spent and I still haven't really used them.

I would at least try them out, you never got the chance at ATCO. If they make a big improvement you know you won't be able to resist the temptation to swap them every time you race. If it rains I am good for next Friday also.

For now, I have decided to keep my DR's on for the season. Hopefully, I won't wear them out too quickly. It is a PITA to swap out to my TOYO's. If I see quick wear though, I will put my Toyo RA1's back on and swap at the track.
If you sell your DR's let me know, I may be interested. New is $428 delivered.
BTW, how strict are they on the 11.49 roll cage rule???? I was thinking of taking a trip someday to E town.

If I sell them, I am selling them with the Kosei wheels.

Have you seen anyone run an 11.3X REGARDLESS OF CAR and still continue on? I don't expect an 11.1 with my set up.

I have to say though that the Cobra ran like 3 years ago, before e-town really started busting chops on good helmets.
My view - if you get a great launch and see a 1.7 60' time, just go for it and see how you do. If you get booted, so be it. But if your 60' time is in the 1.9's, just pull up after 1,000 feet.

I was at the track when a Cobra (previous gen) ran a low 11.4 and was warned that if he went lower than 11.5 again, he would have to stop running. 11.3's - never saw it.

I was told by the Vette guys at my last rental that my car was bogging on the line. Not sure if it was because the wheels were not seated correctly on the hub, not enough tire pressue, or just not a good day for the car.
I'll throw them on and head down to see how they grab. But until I am at Atco for a track rental with perfect prep in October/November, it is going to be hard to judge if I can improve from my best street tire 60' times. What i think the DRs will do is get me low 1.8's on days when my street tires would be in the high 1.9's.
