First of all the fact that he works in the floor is not a negative, but a positive thing if he is a theif. Picture this; He has his buddy come in and act like a customer, he shows him the new Air Book, goes in the back and pulls one, he also sells his friend $100.00 worth of misc. accesorries to go along with it. Once they are at the checkout he rings him up for all the accessories but does not scan the Air Book, his friend is able to just walk out the front door with the product in an Apple bag. He just scored a $1800 Air Book for $100.00It does not get any easier than that does it?

I just tried this, I called Apple Corporate requesting a person from their Loss Prevention Department, they gave me the run around and said they could only give me the phone number if I was Law Enforement...their loss I guess (pun intended)

I can wait for this to turn into some awesome bust....cops breaking down doors, repo man hauling cars, Nike buying shoes back, Apple putting him on the official "dont let this person in" list, Local news cast covering this and mentioning how the web can find anyone and anythign about that person!!

Maybe I missed it but, did any of you locals go to the Best Buy and try to ID anyone from the group of friends in the pic from like 1000000 posts ago? The one where they are all sitting around the couch?

Also if you know their names, has anyone called to check if they work/worked at the Best Buy? Probably in the install department. There has to be a physical connection to that store. Maybe if there are apartments/houses across the road or around the corner, one of the friends lives there? There has got to be a better reason for the pics coming from the Best Buy than just it was a good location.

apple doesn't use those security devices. thats how it wouldn't ring. as for the pretending to scan it thing goes, it's possible, so long as people don't notice. idk if you've noticed but apple has liek 20 people on the floor at all times, and trying that kind of stuff, especially at the register where cameras a pointed at, it would be tricky, but if done one an easy pay, it's likely that that could have happened.
