2004 E55 AMG and 2003 C320 4Matic Miss my 993 Turbo above!!
NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY May 28th

I realize it's short notice but the DA (0-500) is going to be fantastic tomorrow at NED. We have a very special guest appearance by tracshun who is making a trip to visit and make historic passes.

Fleebee, ZAX63, DRTYLNDY and others out there, can any of you make it. Trachun runs 11.8XX and is looking to take advantage of the weather and track conditions and improve on his personal best. Let's show him our New England Hospitality and have a decent tournout.

Hope to see everyone there tomorrow EARLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

C'mon guys, make the drive.

The atmospherics are supposed to be excellent tomorrow at NED. I am making the trip from over 300 miles away and I drove over 750 miles to the drag event in Chicago last week. It has really made for some amazing memories in this car and I look forward to many more.

Always remember, these cars are meant to be driven. Tomorrow at NED may very well be one of the last "really nice" drag days (from a DA perspective) until September/October anywhere in the country. A few hundred miles shouldn't dissuade any of those looking for better times on their cars.

For those that show, I look forward to meeting you. Otherwise, it has been great to meet so many of the members on this board "out on the track" and I look forward to meeting many more in the future.

Hey jtc, I appreciate the kind words and right back atcha

Your 63 was amazing! And, your willingness to run that baby through its paces...and paces...and paces that day was a sight to see. Now that is the way to break in an engine

Good luck on your future passes and keep us up to speed on the progress your car is bound to make as it "opens up" a little bit.

As far as tomorrow goes, it is looking VERY good.

A cold front with high pressure is supposed to come through tonight and yield some amazing DAs tomorrow. By 9 p.m. tomorrow night, the DA could go NEGATIVE BABY!!! Come on cold front, work your magic. I'm doing the "DA"nce in my office right now....

Worst case scenario for me is a DA below 1000, which is something I still have not seen yet. So we'll see. I keep everyone posted.

Make that "by 8 p.m.", just checked the 24 hour forecast and the temps have decreased a few degrees for earlier in the day.

I guess the dancing is working.....

Looks like Zach is in. I have not heard back from Lee yet. Hopefully the Wagon will make an appearance.

Weather is looking real good and hopefully the track will be prepped as good as it was April 30th.

Hey tracshun, don't forget to reset your tranny adaptations before you go draggin.

4 hours of highway driving even at 85-95 is gonna setup the tranny differently.

Do a sneaky ECU reset before hitting the track. Only takes bout 3-5 mins.

Just my 2cents.

Here's to a Higgins Beach 11.2 or 3 run tonight!

Jim,

Do you think I should do the Sneaky reset too...........

Everyone pray I don't snap my REAR END tonight. I got an awful feeling I am going to break it tonight.

Will keep you posted. We could hit -600 DA tonight so I may get a crack at breaking the 11.4 barrier, I can't see 11.2 unless it gets to 46 degrees which it might by 10pm or so but the track conditions may be a bit rough. It will be a fun night indeed.

Did you dyno yet? What kind RWHP are you putting out?. You should be able to nail 11.2 or 11.3 with a good launch. Good Luck buddy. I will be praying!

I've got to break a 1.684 launch to improve on my ET of 11.470. That is one tall order man. So hopefully the DA will be better than last time to get me down below 11.4. Double jeopardy, if I improve on the 1.684 I RISK BREAKING MY REAR END but possibly improving on an ET of 11.4. I need big time NEGATIVE DA to get to sub 11.4, so we shall see.

I will post something on ET's tonight on this thread when I get back tonight.

And Records are ....................

Records are safe for now (ALBERT)!!!!!!!!

You could not ask for a better evening.
The track prep was OUTSTANDING
The DA was -400 to +200
It was a relatively slow night at the track thanks to the CELTICS game.

Trachsun set a personal best at the track last night. Jay is one dedicated man on a mission to improve his best ET. Well last night he SHATTERED his best. I am so glad that his 4/5 hour trip paid off for him big time. I will let him disclose his time and runs. I have to tell you, he has a STRONG BEAST. If he ever gets a TB and HEADER, he will be a force to reckon with!!!!!!

Zach, had a very good showing last night, JUICEE, no records broken with the 63. I would say with DR's Zach could break the 12 second barrier.

An MOI, well what are the odds of running an ET the is EXACTLY the same as my previous record breaking run? Well, it happened. My Brother in Law ran my car last night and TIED my best of 11.470, with a trap of 123.16 with a 1.690 60'. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!

I thought it was going to happen last night. Records would be brought down. I waited from 7:30 to 9:30 or so for the temperature to drop from 59 to 49. MY BIL already ran his run at 7pm with temps around 59 or so when he ran the 11.470 run. Now with 49 degree temp I thought OK this is it, time to break ALBERT's 11.342. They did not signal us to get off the track when we broke 11.49 so I figured, hey, I will run one more time and make the absolute best of it and than get KICKED OFF. That was my rational for waiting 2.5 hours for one more run. So......... at 9:30, I lined up with huge anticipation and ran an 11.5, a 1.75 60' and a trap of 122.56. Ahhh.....friggin dissappionted. Hey men, I gave it my best and didn't improve on ET. MY TRAP SPEED INCREASED TO 123.49 WHICH IS VERY PROMISING. The only thing that may have held me back last night was that I was running on 3/4 of a tank of gas. I know, I know, I should have been running on an 1/8th but I was not planning on running last night so I filled up on gas over the past weekend. Anyways, I love this ****. It a blast that we have these TOURQUE monsters to play with.

Well, we ran and broke 11.49 and did not get kicked off as a STANG that ran an 11.342 did last night. They immediately shut him down and banned him. So, you see, I have to plan it very well to break records and make it worth it to get banned for good from the track.

I have videos to share with everyone. Some great ones of Jay and I going heads up twice. We both launched and hit reactions times within hundreds of seconds. They will be very entertaining to watch. Also, I have my BIL run of 11.470 too.

Till the next tracking event. Peace............

Dam. The trap speed is there you just need a good night. I know these car are capable of so much more than 11.30's on motor. Hopefully you or someone else will get it done, the weather is only going to get better for you guys so it is only a matter of time.

Sam , your so close. Nexttime rather than wait and wait use DRY ICE, you car will drop quickyl , 20-30 minutes. This way you can better maximize your record chances by running 2x more often

Zach buddy , I Love the fact you came out, the AMG crowd is difficult to get on the track, cept for a handful of crazies... Ok so did you hit your 12.30's? More interested in trap actually..113-115? AWESOME

Copngrats to Tracshun , dam man keep on keeping on. And Mr. HB your caris mightily consistant, time for brackets.

I'm not sure, but putting dry ice on a hot surface can cause the metal to crack.

First off, I want to thank higginsbeach, his brother-in-law and Zax63 for making this yet another AMAZING and memorable occasion for me (feel like I am giving an acceptance speech ).

Don't have much time right now (will post more details later), but I ran a 11.679 @ 117.84 with a 1.708 60'. Also ran several runs in the 11.7's. The cars ran "hot" all night, but the cooler air later on and those AMAZING heat exchangers worked their magic to produce some amazing times.

Will post more later....
