Trickle chargers...
I'm going overseas for 4 weeks next month and I'm thinking of getting a trickle charger...Anybody have experience with CTEK battery chargers? Any other recommendations?

for extended use, make sure to get something equivalent to a battery tender with built in circuitry to maintain optimal charging and prevent overcharging.

Try to stay away from "trickle chargers" as you will not be around to tend to it. I use a battery maintainer that is fully automatic and will not over charge a battery like a trickle charger will. I installed mine in the lower trunk with the battery and put a 2 amp fuse in line on the 12 volt side. The power cord will need an extension and the smaller the better, a small cord will allow you to close the trunk. I have a home on the west coast not far from you, and in our hood it is a good idea to put a surge suppressor on the 110 Volt side to fend off the ills of a lightning strike.
