HRE banned from SCCA track events -

I also ordered a set of Sevas Forged wheels from Joey. I ordered them as part of the big group buy a couple of months ago. The short of the story is 14 weeks later, I still didn't have my wheels. I canceled my order this week and purchased a different set of wheels.
I was in constant contact with Karl Hueck, the CEO of Sevas Forged, for the last 2 weeks. He promised and guaranteed that my wheels would be on my doorstep this past week and they weren't. He's citing trouble with the trucking company as the reason for the delay. I don't care how bad a trucking company is, it shouldn't take any more than 4-6 weeks to build and ship a custom set of multi-piece wheels. In the end, he and Joey tried their best to keep me as a customer but I just didn't have confidence that I was ever going to get my wheels. Which, by the way, were paid for in full in March.
Hope your experience is different. The good news is, anyone looking for a set of R55's for their W211, they should have a set in stock. My set.

Looks like at least 3 other people did, too. Tis a shame, I liked the wheels and the price was right. Too bad Sevas Forged is using a crappy shipping company.

yeah that is why its really silly to replace AMG rims or mercedes RIMS with most of the aftermarket CRAP that is out there,, most of the BIG GHETTO rims that look good would not hold up for **** in a street race much less that track and could result in a totaled car or worse.. I have seen videos and read what AMG and mercedes do for engineering and testing and manufacturing of their wheel and its ALOT more than most of these fly by night yahoos..
there are some exceptions like HRE and OC who have racing records,, but
just like lowering the suspension so that the tire is less than 25-28 mm from the fender, its a bad idea and may look good cruising at 45 mph but at 145
or in a race or heavy cornering,, its gonna screw up your car and maybe you
finally people are waking up to this.. after there are tons of pics of broken rims on the net.. lol
beware..
