I like the Evo's they allow you to use the factory set-up ie pads and calipers. You can also change to a more aggressive pad which they also sell, I believe. The vrp's are very similar and you can't go wrong with then either.

There are a few members on the board with them and they all seem happy. I think the only complaint has been some surface rust on the hub section of the rotor.

The wildwoods do look huge but have not seen any real feedback on the forums. There is a member from the west coast that has them but can't recall the name.

Not sure you need a high end rotor unless you track the car. OEM rotors are anywhere from $100-150 per rotor. I would get better pads that give less brake dust. I know Evosport has some that are not too expensive.

lucky *******s...

mercedes in sweden want 3300USD to replace my discs+pads...

i found an "independent" mercedes dealer that get their stuff directly from germany, and they're charging 2000 for just the materials...

I can't find any brake stuff at all on the VRP site...

I love my EVO rotors and Porterfield pads. The front pads are already starting to crack, but I got the drilled and slotted ones and use them hard. For those that think it makes no difference in the real world, let me add a different twist. You save almost 10lbs of dead weight on each front rotor and about 6 - 7 on the rears. I did not weight the pads, so i dunno how much they contribute but the car drives very differently with the rotors.

I put EBC yellow pads, i think $380, on stock rotors. Great pads, 0 noise and significantly less dust, less trips to the car wash . I also, wouldn't recommend stepping up to aftermarket rotors/larger rotors unless you're planning to track it.

Are the pads yellow? That would look sweet with my orange calipers

If you already have AMG calipers, I would vote for the 2-pc rotors. The weight savings at each corner would be noticeable as the car will be a bit more nimble.

end results...

I bought porterfield r4-s front and rear. and oem rotor.

if I have upgrade to 2-pc rotor i would have spent addition $1500 on top of this... I think the save of $1500 is a no brainer for me. I would spend it on other mod. maybe Stage1.

BTW how much did you guys pay for the porterfield? OEM rotor is under $150 each.......
