I am trying to talk several of my friends into making the drive and participating, one has a new R8 and the other has a wickedly fast NSX. I also have a couple guys that want to drive out and just watch, do spectators have to pay the $104? I am actually trying to talk them into participating as well, they have decent cars (2007 328i, and 2007 530i) but are afraid they will be laughed off the track, I told them it's not like that, but they don't believe me. I'm trying hard to fill some empty spots for you guys.

Accu-weather is saying 40% chance of thunderstorms, but only in the afternoon or early eve. That is actually better than yesterday, yesterday it was at 50%. I am going to be there by 8:30, run through tech and be on the track as soon as the drivers meeting is over. I will be long gone by noon, well before the rain is supposed to be falling.

Well sorry guys but it looks like I have to be out on this one....the lack of communication between parents has me having to do some obligated arreands with my son late morning early afternoon...sorry but have fun!

If his test was early like 9am I can see going and taking him but it could end at 2:30 plus the hour roughy to get there just isn't a great day and honestly I prefer to go by myself or my friend with his kid cause I worry to much and it will spoil my time.

Dude, I like the way you think! "plus the hour roughly to get there" You think you can make it from Elgin to Morocco, IN in roughly an hour? A man after my own heart, Mapquest says 1 hour 52 minutes from my address in Naperville and you are another 30 minutes futher than me! LOL! Let's go for it, be at my house at 6:30am breakfast is on me! Let's see if we can "make it in roughly an hour" from my place.

Bum deal with the rain. I was packed up and ready to hydroplane down to the track. 
I'll check if I can make it on the rain date, but I think the next date is right after a track date for me. I might be driving on slicks by then.

Fortunatly I was not too far from home when I got the phone call...what aq bummer!
If anyone is interested I am going to hit up the test and tune this Tuesday night at Route 66. I was pumped to see what she could run with the new goodies. Tuesday is supposed to be a little cooler and running at night should help out as well.
