since I play with my air pressure a lot I am glad my e63 2007 didnt come with those installed. Seems like they would be a pain in my rear end

Dude, you are rolling in a $90,000 car and you can't ante up $250 more for an extra set of sensors? Look at it this way, the sensors are cheaper than a $1000+ forged wheel when you drive 2 blocks on a flat tire or have a slow leak at highway speeds. Hell, the tires on your car are over $400 a piece. TPMS is one of the best features on modern cars, I'm mad that my Black Series does not have them. They are great for track day events, just set your pressure, re-calibrate and it is a very easy way to monitor tire pressure...and they are quite accurate, at least the ones on Corvettes and BMW M5's are.

I thought all 2008+ cars had to have TPMS as standard equipment. So it's not the model of the car, it's the model year.
