Is this larger primary than stock still or has this changed?

Since the stock engine reaches maximum torque at only 2,650 rpm, it would be nice to see a real world dyno chart for the HEMs that starts at say, 2,500 rpm. The HEMs appear to make nice gains in the ether region of the rpm band, but how badly do they kill low-end torque in doing do so? Or do they? It's very weird to see a dyno chart starting outside the rpm band that most daily driving occurs at; really makes one wonder what's going on below the chart's starting point.

I agree ... although I would sacrifice a little low end torque (which I can't put down anyway) for some better top end...

Vadim likes to do dynos to simulate real world driving. He leaves the car in 'D', goes up to the gear he wants and then does the run. At that speed when you mash the pedal, if the dyno operator isnt quick enough and hits the record button the RPM will have shot up already..

That's why on this run the RPM start point is so high. Unfortunately, this is the only dyno run he has right now.

Taking some torque away from the bottom and moving to the mid and upper end is not a bad thing. The more power you have the more you should want this. These cars are so hard to hook with street tires and I dont like driving around with DR all the time.

The cars I have done for my friends and people that I see regularly all complain about the wheelspin and not being able to hook the car.

I am not sure what the torque curve looks like in the lower end but we'll do another run from 2,600RPM as soon as we get a chance.

Hmmm..... I was holding off on deciding to buy it or not, but I'll throw my car in to do a good dyno run? I need to pickup my airbox and parts anyway.

Jangy, here is your 55 dyno with prototypes on, which is our VR600 Power Package:

You have that tune right now in your car, but no HEMs.
