my buddies E55 is having some problems. i took his car for a rip to see what the problem was and seems like the supercharger won't kick in on 2nd. the car feels super slow on 2nd. 1st gear seems ok because we can actually see the supercharger pulling the rev's faster after 3600 or so. do you guys think the transmission is faulty or do you think it has something to do with the supercharger?

Most likely bad IC pump. Do a search under the same topic.
