may not work out as well as I expected for Nov 15. For some reason my car is just not running the #'s as it was. The transmission has a funny feeling "slide/bump" into second at WOT after a hard launch. Also, the car does not launch as hard as it was in the past. Possibly the IC circuit needs examining or the tranny is just about toast. I will try another fluid swap and see if the shifting/launching improves. At this point I wouldn't bet that my car will come out on top. It may just end up in the trailer early with a crapped out tranny.

That is a distinct possibility....if you don't drive it like a mad man then the car responds fine. The car only misbehaves when it is at max traction situations.

 

Are non amg cars allowed? The roster has all these insane cars. Can the E320 Turbo take a few runs? I just want to see if my setup can hang with a stocker but looks like thats impossible now.....becuase their arent any!

Dude, you have a E 320 CDI? Mod It! You can make that thing move out. I own a ML 320 CDI and I have looked into some goodies for it. A simple ECU tune will give you 40-50 whp and 75 more pounds of torque, throw on an exahust and it's an even bigger gain. The people I've talked to said they can get my ML running as fast or faster than a V8 550. Then you can throw a Propane injection system on it...it works like NOS in a diesel. If you go deeper the gains are even crazier.

 

No its just a regular 217hp gas e320, I turbocharged it over the summer. Im only 18 so the 320 was all I could afford outside of the square body benzo's. Its above a old e/s/clk55 performance level but im aiming for supercharged ones now that I have the over-oilage to the turbo fixed . I still dont have the money to complete the water-meth install(have everything but pump) or get a real dyno and pro tune yet.

Its a stock motor but after some research, and the fact that the turbo is way easier to detach than the stock exhaust, im going to put a triple layer .075" gasket on to lower the compression to around 8-9:1. Turbo is a T3/60-1 by garrett.

Its all over the 12 range but its noting compared to you guys and your crazy benzo's lol. I could probably get into the 11's if I dared tune it into the 10-12psi range with my so far non existent water methanol injection.

Are there still any spots open for this event? Cost? Anyone from the midwest planning on driving out there together? Can cabrio's run on the drag strip? I just have a stocker, I might get an ECU tune-up and wheels done before hand, but this sounds like it could be fun. I'm just outside Milwaukee and would like to meet up with some others making the voyage.
