Guys last night I posted what I think is both the quickest and fastest 1/4 mile pass yet for any 63. Pass was made at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL elevation 632ft. Air temp was approx 69 degrees
I have time slips in hand, but no scanner. I am trying to snap some digital pics of the slips but not having much luck. Anyone with a scanner out there that I can fax the info to so you can post for me. below are the numbers from my best pass.
R/T .475 (I was sleeping LOL!)
60' 1.804
330' 5.003
1/8 7.641
MPH 93.61
1000' 9.910
1/4 11.824
MPH 118.29
Also note that I made three passes in the 11.8's, a 11.887 @117.25, a 11.861@117.80 and the record run posted above. Run was made on the Corsas with 21psi.
There is video of the 11.871 pass and the 11.861 pass, not sure about the record setting pass. I am waiting for the guy to e-mail me the footage of my passes, as soon as I get it I will post it. He said he was going to post on You Tube.
I also handed it to a Ktech tuned Z06 a couple times last night...with video proof!

Congrats JRCART! Aside from the times, also congrats on spanking the Z06. Did you happen to track the guy down and rub it in a little???

I'm pretty sure that once Jim starts running in huge negative DAs, and low temps, he'll be running 11.60s at 121 mph.

No, he was a nice guy, a little bit older, his car was set up for road racing like mine. It was his first time with it at the strip. It was a beautiful car, if he could get it to hook-up he'd have beaten me I think.

As for you guys questioning my RWHP, the car has now been dyno'd at 3 different shops the lowest figure was 501 and the highest was 504 and change. I agree the car should be trapping higher, and believe me I'm trying, but until you try to launch a car with a full road racing suspension set-up with over 500whp you really don't have any room to talk. I could have softened the suspension all the way and slowed the rebound and raisded her up an inch, but I did not. I did not have the time nor man power. The car needs to be lifted to make those adjustments. All of those adjustment are going to be made when the drag wheels get here, which should be any friggin day I hope. Spoke with PST today about the CF drive shaft, these guys are great, they told me once I get them my measurments they can ship the completed drive shaft and joints in 2 days. Looks like I'm gonna have some more HP by next Monday

All of those settings really won't matter much with regards to your trap speed, a better launch usually lowers your trap speeds a bit.... your launch is quite good (1.8 short time).
unless you started spinning the tires after the 60', or half way down the track, your traps are showing that car isn't making anywhere near 500 rwhp.... maybe it put down 500 rwhp on the dyno, but it's not putting that power down in the real world....
3800 pounds and 500 rwhp should put you in the 124 MPH range with decent conditions....

Just remember, those times were last year before several mods and by November you can bet I will go alot faster. You come close and I'm pushing the button!!! LOL
Jim, my best last year was 11.48 @ 120.5mph Since then I have added VRP cams, ~1.5PSI more boost, custom intake through the headlights, and nitrous. The ice reservoir will go in shortly

I just spoke with Vadim at VRP- he uses a formula to calc hp:
Take trap speed (118.29x.00426)= .50319... cube this number and we get .127407.... and we take the cars weight plus driver weight (3800 plus 200 if JRCart is not fat ) times this .127407 and we get 509.63.
According to Vadim this is the hp at the wheels. He said its fairly accurate but trannys make a difference- this formula is for average power calculations. I might be off on the weights too.

same here, off by more than 100HP.... forget the calculators.... we're talking real world results.... but just for fun, here is my car on this calculator:
http://www.dragtimes.com/horsepower-...power+Estimate
It estimates 559 HP at the flywheel..... When I made that run I had 456 at the wheels.... so when accounting for the 18% loss with my dyno'd results, we at around 556 HP.... not too far off....

videos?

Love to see a Z getting smacked by an AMG

I have to wait for a kind stranger to e-mail me the footage. It was not taken on my camera, but the guy tracked me down in the staging line and showed me the video and asked for my e-mail and said he would send it to me. I know for sure he has one of the Z06 passes, but we both stunk it up...we both ran 13's. As soon as I get the vids they will be posted up right away.

(special after the smack some Z06 folks laid on us early on)

Actually the DA was definately a factor here. The N/A motor is cripled by temp and especially elevation. The track is 635 ft ABSL, add 70 degrees and humidity you get 1500 plus feet. The 118 mph traps at ATCO and other insane traps under negative condition should not diminish quality runs in positive DA. This is a 500 rwhp car and other similar N/A cars would act in a similar fashion in similar DA.
This is a new 63 record for ET in the 1/4 mile and 1/8th mile. It falls short on trap speed but this is solely due to weather and you guys are correct the car cannot make 500 rwhp when run at 70 degrees and 600 plus feet of altitude.
This same run at MIR will produce an 11.50@123(assuming its cool)
#47
that calculator I posted is "flywheel" HP, big difference...... so 499 at the flywheel is low around 420 or so at the wheels..... I'm not doubting your dyno results, but trap speeds tell what's really happening.... we'll see what happens in better conditions......
Do you guys think I am making up my WHP figures??? I have three reputable shops that have all dyno tested my car on different dates not knowing what the figures should be and they where all less than 2% apart in their findings...hell that could have been the damn weather. Not sure what you guys are getting at but even using the calculator one of you provided it was right there as well. Not sure of the exact weight on the car, but I know it's well over 3800 with fluids, I was running with about 3/4 of a tank of fuel and I'm an honest 215lbs. Your calculator had me at 499.89hp, pretty close to my lowest dyno reading of 501.20.

I think even at 1500 ft the car should have trapped a little higher imo, if the da was even that high. I think from the weather conditions he posted the last run was probably in the 600's to 800's.

Ahh thank you! Ahh thank you..... A celebration is def in order (2) 63's trapping 118mph C:\Documents and Settings\thekidd\My...2.23@188.53mph (1) highly modded the other BONE STOCK:
I honestly want to see Oldgixxer go against Jrcart. You guys think with the DA's Jim will be running over 120's and get solid mid 11's so he should best him at ET and MPH...but I have faith in my boy Rob. November should be fun

So now the car is making 2.5 less HP than stock? LOL! Damn you people are a relentless bunch!
