American Choppers @ AMG Factory

The Chopper boys are going to build an AMG chopper ......on the tube right now. The factory walk thru was way cool.

EhhhhhhhhhhLAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMEEEEEE.
Dude, the Tomahawk is a crazy *** bike...that POS hog they slapped AMG badges on is a travisty. Too bad they didn't pull their head out of their asses long enough to build one with a 55K motor...

Amazing! To think how far OCC has come in a matter of years is incredible and their new building is sick! Love the AMG bike!

Tell me it aint so....?

I used to love their show and their bikes but its gone OTT for me now and they gone and commercialised the whole thing too much... good for them but the show does not do it for me anymore.

My favorite bike is the Cobra bike with a S/C on it... woah!!!

Also why AMG could not fab up their own bike is a bit surprising.

Are you guys talking about the SLR bike? Looks a bit bland for the SLR... if it wern't for the merc and SLR badge you would know it right?

Anyone that knows me knows I am a bike fanatic. OCC builds some sick choppers, but AMG and OCC choppers are polar opposites. AMG is the pinnacle of style, performance, comfort and luxury. OCC is the Pinnacle of style, but there is absolutly ZERO performance or comfort in any of their bikes. I have ridden a couple OCC bikes and they are the most uncomfortable, worst handling bikes on the planet. A stock Harley feels like an F1 car compared to an OCC chopper...and Harleys handle like sh_t!

That being said, it is a cool looking bike...........

+1, they do very little of the work themselves and the work they do is horrible compared with most custom bike makers. The edge they have over the others is in marketing and that's it. They use mass produced frames, motors, lights, etc. Jesse James has put more creative work into his toilet at home.

Billy Lane IMO is the best custom bike maker out there, and unfortunately he's going to jail forever for running someone over.

Jesse Rooke build the baddest and best custom bikes....PERIOD. They are far more unique than anything coming out of OCC or West Coast Choppers (Jesse James), and the bikes actually perform as well.

check them out if you don't believe me. www.rookecustoms.com

They are no more than assembly and some crude fabwork.
But they sure did get lucky, iconic white trash.

agreed - OCC bikes do suck - my buddy has one and every time we went somewhere we had to stop on the side of the road for him to fix something - luckily he bought his right before the show got big - either way - crap is crap.

I do like the looks of Matt Hotch creations as they are truly hand built bikes that are tricked out but not true riders. Too much rake on all these custom bikes now days. A true riding bike is still the good ole HD - possibilities are endless as to what you can do them. mine was custom from front to back and since it was a HD sold quickly because they are reliable - sooooo miss mine

news:
Lane pulled out over the double yellow to pass two cars and slammed headlong into a motorcycle ridden by park ranger Gerry Morelock. Dodge Ram versus motorcycle? You can guess the result It's the second wrong-lane incident for the Discovery Channel bike-building celeb — earlier this year Lane was busted for a DUI and scoffing at helmet laws after being caught in the opposite lane riding riding his bike sans skid-lid in North Carolina. [Thanks to Justin for the tip]

I know Roland, I used to race superbikes when he raced, although he raced the 250 two stroke class. His father owns PM, as in Performance Machine... wheels, brakes, etc..and yes his bikes are cutting adge as well

A buddy of mine who makes custom rocker jewelry and leather stuff is opening his new showroom in LA. He also is a big bike guy and has a sick chopper as well as a Rooke Custom. The new showroom he is almost done with is going to have a few of Rooke's bikes in it for show. Check out his site...he's got a pretty impressive clientele and the stuff he makes is amazing:

Very nice stuff. Some of it is a pretty blatant Chrome Hearts ripoff, especially the wallet chains, but that's pretty much par for the course nowadays. The stones are well done, not too out of control but very pretty, way better than Chrome Hearts does it. I take it that the prices aren't listed because they're exhorbitant?

Yeah, very expensive but not as over the top as Chrome Hearts....Plus, the craftmanship of his stuff puts CH to shame. If you get stuff without precious stones the prices are pretty reasonable.
The prices are listed - the last link on the home page:

That price list is actually not as steep as I'd expected with all of the stones he puts in the pieces. Chrome Hearts uses crappy stones and even the homeliest piece will be on the far side of $10,000 with a half carat in it. Good luck to him.

For myself I don't wear diamonds. They're not rare, the cartel in charge of diamond mining and distribution controls how many are released so they can fix the prices. I prefer just silver, and the craftsmanship that goes along with making fine hand pieces.

That's why I collect old-school Gaboratory pieces.

A couple reasons... one is I'm sure that AMG does not want to pull their own recourses away from their core duties to do a side project like that (having to fab a bike from the ground up). And two and the genius part of AMG Marketing guys was that the show basically amounted to a hour long commercial for AMG on prime time Discovery channel for what probably cost them $200K. Great deal.

I just found this pic of the truck he was driving and the story behind it, he tried passing a couple cars, crossed a double yellow and hit a guy on moped head on instantly killing him....sad

Roland has/had an E-Class. Check one of the older Biker Build offs when it is Roland vs. Rooke. They show Roland take off in his E and do a nice burnout on the show.
