I have both the cradle and adapter for my MB and I personally like the adapter better. I use a case for my Iphone and taking it off and on is not a option. I initially thought I would be okay without the case but I personally like having the case on because I've been known to drop a few phones. From what I understand these are not available in the US yet and I paid $350 for the cradle and it's brand new. I will take $325.00 and I'll take care of the shipping. PM me if interested.

Wait, so this right there goes in the armrest where the standard phone cradle goes? That's where you'd put the bluetooth puck right? But you can plug in your iphone on there and be able to use the phone? What about the ipod features?

It works just like any other standard cradle does. As for the cable hanging there I have no idea what that's for. I don't have the Ipod feautre on my car so I couldn't comment on anything related to that.

ok so you mean you use the cradle solely for it's physical "cradling/support/holding" and not for its technological features? I would venture to guess that the cable goes into the phone system so you can control it with your Comand unit.

I'm sorry I must not be making myself very clear. The cradle works perfectly with the control unit as long as you have the connection in the back of the arm rest. The fit is a little snug but everything works great, it downloads all the contact info, received calls and so on. It goes in just like the picture I posted.

Here's a link I found on the internet that shows that has a picture of the cradle installed. Everything is functional through the command center and the cable on the side will connect into a Ipod connection if that option is installed and runs into the center console.
