Black Series style Steering wheel for E55's
Thought some of you guys would like this... Its a reworked factory wheel to directly replace the OEM wheel.. Reuses airbag. Wish they had these before i bought my MP wheel...

That being said, one would still have to contact the seller. My guess is that they have them available both ways as they are building these wheels using OEM wheels as the starting point. The price is good.

So I guess I'd need to have my factory wheel removed, sent to these guys, then they'd send me a the new flat bottom wheel? Do they do the airbag and shift button swap, or do I do that myself? Simple looking? Thanks for the help if you know!
Damn, if they'd add some nice paddle shifters, it'd be the full package. But this looks like a good deal and a sharp looking wheel. A must upgrade item IMO.

THe airbag is removed to take the wheel out so no swap would be required as you simply put it back in when you put the rebuilt wheel on. As to the shift buttons, they just pop in and out so I would guess that if you sent them with the wheel, they would come back with the wheel. If you took them out before you sent the wheel, then you would be putting them back in. As it takes a whopping 30 seconds to remove them, I would probably send the wheel without them to eliminate any chance of damage during the conversion but I am the **** type!
IIRC there was group buy going on for these a while back.... maybe the C class forum.... can't quite remember.... Anyway, I think everyone was happy with the outcome. I didn't participate, but it does look good....

FYI, Assuming you reuse the buttons from your wheel (they physically fit all years of wheel from 03-06), there is no reason the wheel wouldn't work in an '03, '04, or early '05. The wheel assembly itself is the same on all years of E55 and was not changed in any way.
But yeah, like Sun, I'm down for it. I actually just emailed that guy and asked him if he had one for the '03 55.

He never responded to my GB question, maybe someone else can try.. But he does have them for the E55 with the holes for shifter buttons.. I asked him if i could send him my MP wheel to just make the bottom flat, and he told me sure $900..
Might as well just buy his wheel, and sell my MP... Also, it takes 5 WEEKS to make the wheels...
