500 mile trip in the E55

500 mile trip in the E55
Just got back from a 500 miler across Washington. I don't know about you guys, but I can't drive this car slow. It just begs to go faster and faster. Occasionally, there were no cars on roads such as:
and I'd glance down and she'd be a little over 100mph. And getting 19 miles to the gallon while doing so too!
Anyway, the car handled like a champ and was able to pack a hell of a lot of camping gear as well. Just thought I'd share some pics.
If any of you come out there, I recommend I90 from Seattle, 17 North through the Canyons, and Highway 2 through the Cascade Mountain range. Those 500 miles will get you Ocean views, twisty canyon roads, long desert straight aways and crazy mountain roads in one trip!

Awesome! I just picked up my own '05 E55 for a one day blitz back home from San Jose to San Diego..just wished I had thought to bring the camera (though to be honest, I was driving too fast to take any pix).
Driving vacations on "enthusiast" roads have always been my preference, I've had some great trips over the years from SoCal to Oregon and Washington, avoiding the freeways for the twisties whenever possible...'89 in m '87 930 to the Champ car race in Monterey, in '93 with an '89 M3 to Astoria, '04 to Reno in the FFR 427 (Cobra replica), last year to visit the kids in Seatle in the E500 all stand out.
Can't wait to take a road trip in the E55, those roads you drove look pretty inviting...
