LOL, a rock and it did not go through but it sucks.
It left a hole/star about the size of a nickel. I could have it fixed for 80 bucks but it will still look like **** and i will look like some guy who has a nice car and can not afford to fix it. My life is not that bad and in fact I am getting some HRES soon too![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It was one of those slow motion nothing you could do scenarios..
The rock was just bouncing and then seemed to lock right on to me and then attacked.
I have a company installing a new one called cali auto glass. They quoted me at 395. It is OEM.
I got quotes all the way to 900![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Anyway at 60K miles my windsheild was pretty pitted and I look forward to some clear sweet glass.

4 wheeled car.
BTW nig, comprehensive deductible... That's all you pay to get your windshield replaced. I paid $100 w/ AAA. Now I gots no deductible, so it'd be free for a new windshield. If you got the rain sensor and all that, make sure they give you a good OEM windshield. I got mine replaced 3 months ago.

It is a PPG which makes windshields for Daimler etc., I had one replaced on my past S500 for 5 bills installed, it was really nice, the only thing is it will not have the benz little 3 point star logo but who cares --- It is the same exact thing.

PPG and Pilkington are very different manufacturers, The ppg's are much nicer Imo, I had a Pilkington (oem) at the time that had some serious warped glass. A Pilkington will cost twice the amount of a PPG for the logo and plus perhaps some distorted glass. PPG all the way.
