New E Class leaked?

without really taking a detailed look.. just at a first glance.
it looks slimmer.. not that it will be lighter.
it looks like a bigger C class.. just like the 203 & 211
The front its great.. for being just a regular E..
headlights are great.. but not sure about the driving light with a projection lamp.. looks weird..
LED around the front air ducts of the bumber
the rear looks like a japanese car and a bit of the E92 coupe lights..
I'm sure with the AMG version.. the bumper and quad pipes will help.
overall I like it.... and a bit more aggressive.
Not feeling the wheels.. since they are similar to the C class.

And if you read the article that accompanies those pics it will tell you that those are 'best guess' renderings. Anybody notice the position of the gear shift as compared to the pics of the mules previously posted.

Eh, i knows its just a prelimenary rendering, but it looks like ***.. Seems like they just took a C, and S-Class and combined the two.. The LED fogs need to be kept on the Audi's.. Im sure the AMG version will be sick!

Big question is whether they will roll out the turbs with it or pull another E55 to E63 kinda switch.
Gonna feel bad for the guys that get the old motor, then the turbs of life come out right after.

I think they'll leave the N/A 63 engine for the first 2 years of production, then they'll probably switch to the turbos during the face lift.
They did that with the 2002 to 2003 CL as well.

Too boxy looking for my taste. I can already see it being an old mercedes that nobody really like anymore in a few years. Like and old 300D or something. Especially the interior, not sure if it's the color or something but it already looks old and out dated.

I'll be driving my 211 for quite a while. It looks like a Honda with some sort of a C class front end kit.

Wow that looks just like a glorified Camry or Accord. is this the new 09 E class? i was look at getting the E550 but they didnt have the items/color i wanted and was told to wait for the 09's

Looks like Mercedes is going the same direction as BMW. In some aspects it looks like and Accord and in others it looks like a Lexus. I don't like it. But then again, the W211 looks like an Accord (which is why my wife likes it). Go figure. I'm still a Wagon fan, though not sure how the Wagon version will look. Perhaps like a Camry Wagon? Ughhh

nah, the 63 motor is done, 2010 will roll back to the E55, with a 5.5 twin turbo v8 with 570HP......

No thanks. It looks like garbage, inside and out, but especially inside. The cluster housing and center stack look like they're from MBs from the 80s mixed w/ some Bimmer. The rear end looks like a Hyundai or Honda. The front end is different -- not necessarily attractive; just different, but kinda aggressive in an unusual way -- it does not conjure up any positive adjectives, such as perrrty or beauuutiful. I wish they'd keep the bug-eyed look that helped define the E class and keep it easily recognizable as such. The lines remind me too much of the new C, which I think looks much better than this (I like what they did w/ the C, actually). Sometimes, new-generation styles can take some time to grow on me, but I don't know about this one. Maybe w/a lot of mods, it can be made to look good, or at least much better -- kind of like the new CL. If the final product looks anything like this, I won't be envious because I'm driving an older gen model in this case. I never really saw myself selling my '06, but this helps cement the relationship even more.

i actually had to do a double take on the mercedes badge cuz i really thought that was a honda symbol too
