Chrysler Extended Warranties still good?

I want to add an extended warranty on my E55 before the factory one expires. I know that numerous forum members have had good luck with the Daimler Chrysler (DC) warranties.

Now that Daimler sold off Chrysler the same warranties are no longer available.

I contacted one of the companies that guys here were purchasing the DC warranties and now they sell the Chrysler extended warranty programs. Are these just as good as the DC warranties? Should all Mercedes dealerships honor the Chrysler warranty policies like the DC ones?

Thanks for the help

That is your call. The companies are trying to hang on to the last shred of business left and it is in financing or warranties for now. I'd be worried that Chrysler would either skimp or go BK. In the past (while Daimler owned them) they were good warranties.

I asked the same questions before purchasing my DC warranty. MB still owns 20% of Chrysler. My DC warranty is good at any MB dealership. BTW, I don't think Chrysler is going into Chapter 11 - JMHO.

I wish the DC warranty was still available. Now all we can get is the C warranty.

I felt a lot more comfortable when Mercedes still owned Chrysler in its entirety versus the minority share today. Do you think all Mercedes dealerships will accept the Chrysler warranty like the DC one as well?

Thanks
