Best bang for the buck?

Hey guys.
I have an 03 S55 which I am thinking of adding some stuff to. I was thinking of a pulley but don't know much about them. Does anyone suggest one and how much HP it increses by? Thanks for you help.

VRP Tuning offers a Stage 1 power mod, which consists of a pulley, ECU, and air filters for a very reasonable price. Their stage 1 is called VR550, as it brings up your total crank hp to 550 hp. Here is the link to the VR550 package:

If you want to go the expensive route, RennTech also has a good Stage 1 package, which consists of a pulley and ECU, but the RennTech pulley is smaller. I think it raises your hp levels up to 440 hp.

You wanna definitely do pullley and ECU at same time.

Car does not like to see more boost and ECU will pull timing.

VRP has a nice package as well as LET which has shown some good gains.

Guys, I don't want to hi-jack this thread, but I have a related question.

My E55 is still under warranty but I want to add the VRP Stage 1. Please school me on my risks. I am most concerned about what would need to be done before potentially having to take my car in to the dealer for any work.

Most of the Mercedes dealers nowadays will likely void your warranty if they noticed any upgrades. That being said, the process still seems to be dependent on the individual dealer. However, there are very few dealerships which are mod friendly. You could always start a good relation with your SA and Service Manager and try to get them to go with the flow.
