CLS63
Guys PM me, I have one for sale with only 30k miles on it, for very close to the same price. 2003 E55 Black on Black with IFORGE wheels. Car is very BAD AZZ LOOKING
It would be the perfect match for my CLS63 but I'd have no room to park it. It looks as good as my CLS

I've had mine for a while now, no major problems. I had the clutch pack installed last year and the IC pump replaced. It has 38k miles on it, with MBUSA extended warranty till 2010 of 100,000 miles. I'm looking a CLS55 and will sell it for $36,500.00 today. PM me if your interested.

2003 E55
You might be up for a full set of rotors and pads - check if already changed.
Blew both front airmatic struts in year 4 - expensive and unpredictable. Lowered cars may be more susceptible.

I have an '03 and know several other people with '03s. None of them have had any problem specific to an '03, just the usual E55 stuff which effects all years.
Also, there is no "super charger problem" for the '03 and '04 years. There are "issues" with noisy clutches on the S/C but the truely update clutch packs were not available until '06 and another update in '07.
One nice thing on the '03 is that the steering wheel buttons are not active until you engage the manaul mode on the gearbox and it does have a fully manual mode. Not a big deal but something that I have always like on the '03 that was changed on the later cars.

My ex-cars: 03 E55,04 C32, 05 C55 ,03 E320
i had an 03 E55.
Problems encountered:
-Main battery went dead (replaced for 150 bucks)
-All four suspension struts dead *car too low visit workshop!* (replaced under CPO warranty)
-Experienced rough acceleration and vibration during cruising (replaced radiator and transmission all under warranty)
-Famous I/C pump issue (replaced pump under warranty)
-Famous supercharger chirp (fixed under warranty but still can feel the kompressor clutch engage)
So...get a warranty...you will be glad

No wonder these things are cheap. It just one of those major expenses goes wrong your done. Moral...don't get an E55 unless you can pay.
