The only way to make money on a hat like this is to use junky hats or make alot of them to get the price down. We are not doin either!

I'm not trying to say that you were the one making money on these. I think the person you're getting them from is.

Why do I suspect this? Because I work in the promotional products industry.

Good luck with your endeavor. I hope everyone is happy with their hats, they sure will look sweet.

Promotional products, we are not making junk.
I would expect the guy making the hats to make money off it, That is what he does to pay his bills.
I gaurantee they will look nice, Or I wont pay for them.

I was in the hat industry for all of 3 months (albeit they were high end hats) our costs from the hat company was about 20, and we were making maybe 200 at a time. This price is good unless we go to the little karts in the malls that embroider hats.

Yes you are correct Black flexfit hat with white AMG logo in front and white MB star on the back.

Head size hint. I wear size 7 1/4 (57.7cm) in new era fitted baseball hat and wear a size S/M in this flex fit hat. I will say I like my hats tight fitting though. Its tight enough that I will get a headach if I wear it for more than 2 hours, It will also leave a impression around my head.lol

What were the "high end hats" from your work?

I have seen thoes carts in malls do you know the kind of hats they have and the price they charge?

Thankyou for the back up on the price, I dont want anyone thinking I am here trying to make my house payment off this. This is a hobbie to me. All the shirts you see on my website and many more that are not even up yet I used to make and give away for free to my friends.

If anyone wants a break down of the pricing just ask I will post it or PM it to you

23" is the same size as me. So it will depend on how you like to wear your hat. you could go either way S/M or L/XL . Like I said I chose S/M cuzz I like it real tight.lol

Its a company called Eleven 11. Its actually a leather jacket company that my cousin owns. A little over a year ago he asked for my help making the hats and T-shirts for the company. I spent my summer working with him. I already knew about the T-shirts, but the hats I had to learn about. The hats cost about 20 when we got them from the hat company (not including the leather that we gave them) and then we did another set of cra p to them. Our cost of the hats in the end was about 30 or 35 (all of the extra cra p was done in house, we didnt need to pay any middle man). They retail for about 150 in stores. Honestly the only company's name that I remember him selling to was H Lorenzo on Sunset. I have an a$$ load of the hats at home, in my opinion they are awesome.

BTW... anyone want to make screen printed AMG shirts or sweaters? I could easily make those and ship them. I could make them on American Apparel and if enough people (maybe 10 people) are down it would cost like 15 dollars a shirt. And since it seems like some people are worried about getting jipped on the price I'll post the total cost before anyone gives any input. I was thinking "Team AMG". Lol

Shirt Prices:

Film: $15
Screen: $45
Set-up: $15
American Apparel T-Shirts: $6
American Apparel Thermal Hoodies: $25
I have no idea how much shipping would be.

All we need is someone to do the design and send it to me vectorized. I'm thinking black shirts with white print. Anyone down?

(I also have a bunch of USC shirts that I made for the UCLA game last year left over if anyone who orders a shirt is a USC Alum I'll put one of those in the bag too. Its a trojan pissing on UCLA. No offense to anyone)

Edit: Each print would also be about 1.25 or 1.50. These prices of course are if we keep it a single color print.

Sounds cool. If anyone has ideas just throw them up. Also please let me know if you're down so I can take this to the next level and find someone to vectorize the image.

24" a S/M will be overly tight. I would suggest a L/XL but that is just a suggestion, your choice.

15 dollars a shirt is a normal/good price per shirt especialy since you are talkin low quanty like 12. priorty shipping is just under 5 bucks.

I think there was only 1 guy worried about price and think he was more trolling then realy concerned.

I could honestly care less about the price people are willing to pay for these things. I just would think you could get them a bit more inexpensive and get more people from other AMG sections of the forum involved.

Rocket...you might want to try and get a sticky up with your web site address if the mods will let you or remind folks about the website so they can order...I see a lot of guys saying they are in for a hat but I guess assume you will contact them rather than them going to your website.

I gave up hats but if you ever do golf bags (both cart or walking bag) I am in like an ex-convict on his first date after release.
