This sort of race needs to be done at least 5 or 6 times to be accurate.
Did you know when they test cars the 0-60 times are done up to a dozen times to get the best result, often resulting in a burned out clutch.on manual.
Anyway it looks to me that both bm's got the jump on the AMG. And with
F1 when your in the lead you usually stay there,it takes colossal horse power to catch. Run this again more fairly.

I can GUARANTEE a bone stock (down to the tires) C6 Z06 has gone 10s. When you come to MIR and if Jamie decides to show up with his C6 Z06 you will see for yourself. I was there, saw him rip off several 11.0x runs. With d/rs he ran a 10.8
He also has a modded GT2 and modded Ford GT in the 10's among other cars

I guess jcart's point is that we have to take him (and others with really exceptional bone stock times) at his word that his car really is "stock". Some people talk about cars being "stock" and then you find out that they had a tune, which you can never tell from looking under the hood, pulled their filters or did something else that you can't easily tell. It happens too often. You just have to hope that the person telling you his car is stock is really being truthful. Some people get a rise out of bs'ing people. Never understood why.
It doesn't take much skill to drive one of our cars. Good track prep, and my mother can cut 1.7's. The Z06 is much harder to launch than many cars. The great drivers can cut 1.6's on stock tires, the not so good are lucky to crack 2.0's. You can hear a great driver ripping off shifts with no tire squeal on clutch takeup vs. the guys that lose precious tenths with wheel spin on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Takes LOTS of practice and skill to run low 11's/high 10's in a C6 Z06. Having said that, I still have to trust people to be honest when they tell me that their cars are stock.
There are probably 25 people on this board right now that can hop into my car at Atco in November and run low 11.8's.

Interesting vid's Abalone. Totally opposite of the OP video, now how is that possible?
On the OP video nothing is clear as in was that actually an AMG? Let's say all the cars were legit, blah blah blah. The AMG had about 2 seconds of no movement and the M's were already out the gate. Fair race? Not.

E63 AMG, E60 M5
I have both cars. Love them both but they aren't the same.
Obvioulsy from the start the AMG didn't have a good launch and even seemed a bit delayed. Straight line benz hands down. Everything else i'll take the M5. The benz feels very floaty at high speeds compared to the glued to the road feel of the m5. M5 is the better car in performance. AMG is the car you take on a date.

Don't BM's have Launch?
It is difficult to do a good standing start with auto box with an E55.
However all these races seem to happen over a convenient piece of straight
road, this is drag racing and does not remotely compare with racing another
super car on a twisty road with roundabouts . I think the AMG's should win
in a stright drag, but on different roads I am not so sure.

You mean E63 with a Kompressor badge on the fender. How do we know it wasn't an E550 with a sport kit Go back and look at the badge on the fender. I'll call
The video is really bad so I tell if it is an 6.3 or a Kompressor badge. Also watch how slow the front tires start rolling on the "E63".

Hi Guys .
I was the driver of the E55 AMG and it had a E63 body kit costing 15.000$ .
This was an airport strip we went there to try the cars . Both cars M3 and M5 were heavily modded while the E55 is Stock.
This was the first run , so i was trying to see what will be launching without ESP on . While both M5 and M3 was using Launch Control , M5 was modded with headers and M3 with Ecu and camshafts. So one person noticed in the forum that the wheel in front of the E55 was not spinning fast cause there was a hell of a wheel spin at the back when launching . When this was over , The M3 owner was marketing all the other cars owner that he Beat the E55 , so i ask him to run 4 Times again the race . The 4 times I was in front of him 7 cars, all the times i was Using ESP on and M mode and was shifting at 5500 RPM .
As for the M5 i did the race also , i was jumping in front of him 1 car and later at speed of 160 km/h he was passing me slowly .
Don't forget the M5 is modded with 535 HP .

This is only to make things clear .
On the other hand the BMWs they did the max tuning they had and they were humiliated half the way .
Now it is my TURN ti tune the car , i am on the process to do it woth www.vrptuning.com the E55 will jump from 476HP to 640 HP and i am installing AMG LSD differential , all this will cost around 18=20.000$ .
And later we will race again , and to be honest from now the BMW owners are shaking when they knew about the tuning . In other terms they are ****ting in their pants .
There is another Video showing me and M5 and M6 .
We tried this race while we were going to the airport M6 was filming and we roll at 50 km/h and we kick gas , reminding again M5 is heavely tunned while the M6 is tuned even More .

This is so gay. My last car was a e46 M3. There is no way the E55 would be that far behind. I raced my buddy in his E55 when I still had my M3....I got smoked everytime.

Seems you don't wanna read the above posts , i repeat i disengage the ESP just for fun and did a hell of wheel spin . After that i did 4 race same minute after we finish it and i was in front of the tunned M3 by 7 cars .
So please don't repeat the same CD again and again .
And for your Info they were 10 M3s there in the airport i dust them all .
Only ones was M5 pulling hard beyond 200km/h i am limited to 250 , and the M6 was pulling fast after 140 km/h heavely tuned .
And this picture when u run ESP off .

Whichever M3 was the video taker truly got smoked...like he mis-shifted.
