Jakpro1 for movie announcer position!!!
Now that the movie trailer world has taken a direct blow with the loss of Don LaFontaine (may he rest in peace), I feel it is MBWorld's duty to help fill this void if at all possible. I make a motion to nominate Jakpro1 for the vacant position
. We could send a copy of his MBWorld ownage video as a demo. With the help of Juicee and some of the other SoCal crew, I'm sure we could get him hooked up!!! Waddaya think guys!?!

True story, I was a kid just starting out at a tiny radio station and just turned 20. I had just read "How to win friends and influence...." book and took it's advice to write someone a letter that you admire. Took a shot and wrote to Don and sent it off.
Few weeks later secretary buzzes me, "Jim, pick up line 2". I was like, not now I am busy, take a message. She replys, "I think you better pick this up honey!"
I grab the phone kinda snippy...HELLO?
In full movie trailer voice I hear, "Helllooo Jimmmm" I just about dropped the phone. He was just the nicest guy and we talked for about 30mins. He put me on hold once and came back, "Ahhh, just the guys at Paramount. They want me to do another movie trailer."
To us voiceover guys, he was our Jordan/Gretzky/Schumacher all in one.
