What type of bulb is the turn signal?

Most any auto parts store these days has them. Lots of people swap them out with ones that have a colored glass, but still glow abmer when lit (both filaments). I just saw some wild colors yesterday, but dunno what would look ok. Also, dunno where you are from but that is a quick cop pull.

I just changed out my city lights to a blue/white color and I really like how they came out. Police arent to bad down here in south Florida. I had all bluish lights on my M3 for years and never got a ticket.

It's 1157, not 1156 like the owner's manual says.
And save your money buying a new one. If you want to get rid of that egg yolk color, simply take your current orange bulbs out, put tape around the bottom metal part and dust the orange glass housing with high heat silver spray paint. Once it dries, remove the tape and put them back in. No more egg yolk reflection and you still get a compliant orange blinker. Not to mention you save money.
