Vegas doesn't get cold, there will be plenty of ppl there to party with at all times of the year.

I was looking at it from a strictly automobile perspective, that the drag times might not be so hot, if it's hot.

Sounds like fun...
Although I would honestly prefer to make some passes @ the strip during a Test n' Tune session.
The track is usually prepped pretty well. There always seems to be a nice car turn out. Maybe we could just take over a test n' tune session and represent AMG for a fraction of the cost?

Here is a ink to the schedule
http://www.lvms.com/schedules/strip/

I would still consider being a part of the event. I have never hit the road course.

p.s.
If anyone is trying to break their personal best 1/4 times...do not expect to do it at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with high track temps.

jrcart,
Correct me if I'm wrong but it was your CLK that I saw @ vrp / powerchip right? If it was, then WOW, your car was amazing. Sounded completely bad *** and looked gorgeous as well.

The problem with test n tune nights is that you may end up waiting 5 hours for 2 runs Too many cars, too many lines, and that's assuming nobody's car breaks on the track or starts leaking because then, they start a cleaning routine, which takes anywhere from 1 to 2 hours.

Test n tune is hit or miss. I have been to some tnt's where the track was empty. Got 6 runs in under 1 1/2 hours. I think you are referring to Midnight Mayhem, but I wouldn't doubt some of the test n tunes events being extremely busy.

Might make sense to go out to the Pahrump track - extra 40mins drive - but for an all day track day - but not drag strip iirc

It's funny how people think Vegas is always hot as hell, I was there this year for the NASCAR weekend, first weekend in March and froze my butt off. March in Vegas is beautiful most days never get above 80 degrees and 60 and 70 degree highs are somewhat common.

Doesn't really matter what the weather is like if your coming to Vegas for the track but lets get real the attraction of Vegas is not the track its the whole experience and it does get cold here I live here and when it snows it means its cold. I'm sure if the draw of this event is '' Vegas" then anyone coming wants to party, hangout at Palms pool or Rehab and take in the talent. So come in Feb or Mar and see how not cold it is wear your shorts and a t-shirt it'll be warm. Stop by the pools and see who's there

Well I didn't know it snowed in Vegas, that's news to me.... Anywho, I didn't want to ruffle anyones feathers here I just figured since there were going to be a lot of cars there that are sensitive to heat, it would be best to have it during cooler times. If March happens to be one of those cooler times, then the date sounds perfect.

I would actually love to go and put faces to some of the names around here, though I don't think I'll be bringing my car, I'd rather just chill and socialize. In other words, I cannot afford $500 to race

March is def. not a hot month, you can expect anything for the 50-80s , and yes there has been snow once in a while in Vegas too; but not in march...

Count me in. I will most likely fly in from Missouri. I have an unused ticket from my trip a month ago that I can use anytime within a year. I've been to Vegas more times then I can count and loved it everytime. A chance to meet all of you, see some nice Benz's, and party in Vegas... wouldn't miss it. As long as I can hitch a ride with someone while I'm down there. Jrcart, wouldn't mind a ride in the Black Series

Seems like the majority wants hotties @ the pool & non-stop partying for 2-3 days, also enjoy the clubs @ night, I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier I've been in March & it is on the cold side, w/hardly any pool toys to play with

We should be going late April or early mid May, temps are perfect @ that time of yr...

Would everyone want to keep this event strictly AMG????

I think it would be more fun to have some competition + a few other cool cars show up. It would be an invite only type event.
This would possibly help us obtain the number of attendees needed or even raise the number attendees to lower each entry fee.

I wouldn't mind having other cars there, but I probably won't have my car there since I'll most likely fly. So I guess it's up to you guys to decide but I'm okay with it.
