Road Tar - best way to get rid of?
Tons of roadwork around the bay area and have small clumps of tar built up behind each wheel on the external paint. Any advise on best way to remove?

Mineral Spirits, wet a rag and hold it on the tar to soften it, better to melt it off rather than trying to scrub it off. Take your time, flip the rag to keep clean side against the tar as you gently wipe the tar off. After your done cleaning, re-wax the area twice.
Most automotive stores have tar removers most are mineral spirits or other solvents, don't use acetone or alcohol.

Turtle wax sells a product specially for that. Bug and tar remover in a black spray bottle. You can pick it up in any car shop, Autozone, pep boys, etc...works really good. good luck.
