Wheel Noise..

Hey guys,

I have recently noticed on my '05 E55 that when I make right hand turns (with and without brakes applied) there is a squealing sound from my wheels. It almost resembles the sound of my squeaky brakes! This is greatly emphasized when I am in a parking garage and it is impossible to miss. Its quite embarrassing when I am driving around and it sounds like I'm driving a '94 hoopty . Anyone else experience this? or have any ideas on what it may be?

Thanks,
Paul

I have the exact same problem. I am taking the car in for service thursday and am going to have them take a look. I'll keep you posted.

Rmshah1: Is it only when you turn right? My car sounds fine when I turn left but as soon as I turn right the squealing begins...

Yes it only happens when I turn right. Not all the time, but only when I take a close to a hard right or go around a bend.

I am taking my car in tomorrow morning. I'm going to take the tech out for a little spin to make sure he hears what I'm talking about. While I'm at it, I am going to see if they will replace my supercharger to try and fix the "chirp" (more like a dragged out metal-on-metal squeal) sound coming from my engine. I already had the supercharger clutch replaced to the '06 model and I read that a few other people were able to have their superchargers replaced under warranty. Hopefully after this visit I will finally be able to drive my car without focusing on the heinous sounds coming out of it!

Turns out I had to postpone my appt. I should be dropping the car off early next week. I will keep everyone updated.

Rmshah1: Did you drop your car off on Thursday? If so, any word on what is happening?

Picked up my car and so far no more annoying squeal!! They replaced the blower motor, I'll post details tomorrow when I have a chance with the paperwork in front of me.
