Anyone got an E63 bumper with a large HE?
I am in the process of doing an E63 front conversion on my 55 and it dawned on me that I may have some excitement with my 7" Code3 E core.
Anyone have any comments to share? I'm not sure if there is more or less room with the E63 bumper and engine under tray combo.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I guess if no one can comment, I will find out soon enough.

Sorry…I’ve no idea about its fitment. A little exploratory surgery with a tweak or two and you’ll be all set.
Pretty dang sure it’s going to look sharp. Just hope those ’63 pilots won’t be hatin’.

Not to worry as I walk away from them so they won't get close enough to hate! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
As I see it, this is no different from putting a GT2 bumper on a 996TT or a GT3RS bumper on a GT3. Both are common practices and the end result is stunning.

If anything they should be flattered that we admire the look of their car so much that we would consider the bumper swap. I know I will do the swap one day myself!

Will do. Currently the front is all pulled apart and ready for the E63 parts which I am still waiting for. I have a list of what I think are all the final little bits that I need to order monday.

Update...E63 Bumper is on (with correct engine tray, etc) and there is enough room to put 2 HEs and an oil cooler in there.
I never thought my 7" HE could look small. ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
BTW, the conversion looks absolutely stunning and was well worth the effort and expense. I opted to leave the mirrors, headlights, rear panel, and rear bumper alone as I prefer the E55 units. I also left the engine alone as I prefer that too.

If you dont mind me asking, what did it cost for the 63 front end swap?

I will post a thread soon with links to pics, part numbers, and tips.
The cost is in the mid $3K range to do the front conversion depending on the parts deal and body shop costs. It honestly looks way better than I had thought it would.

It is an improvment.
My only problem is parktronic.
I got the new sensors but they didnt work with e55 box and i am hesitating to get the e63 box since i dont know if it will work with the car?
I am thinking of a hid kit for the fogs. Is there any suggestions on a good quality bolt on kit?

I have parktronic on my E63 conversion...it is a real b*tch and you are too late as what you needed to do was custom fit the E55 sensors to the E63 bumper BEFORE it was painted. Going the route of fitting the E63 sensors, harness, and control box to the E55 is not the way to do it and very costly but will also work.
