I am a new '06 E55 AMG owner and the freaking seats are driving me crazy. When I go to turn on the pulse feature the red light just flashes at me and I get no massage. Other times when I'm driving slowly the dynamic seats will just turn on randomly and start doing massive amounts of lumbar to my lower back.

Anybody know what this is or has anybody else had this issue?

Still under warranty? If so, obviously your first stop is the dealer. I had a problem with my dynamic seats when I turned on the driver side, the light would just flash but not turn on. Needed a new seat module, whatever that is. Haven't had a problem since.

A new seat module. Brilliant. I can see this car won't be the cheapest indulgence I've had to date. But yes, I bought it as a CPO so it can be their problem.

I've been having this issue. While driving, dynamic seats would stop working and the pulse button blinks when you pressed it. Nobody was on the front passenger and when I press its pulse button, it also blinks. Do you guys think I need a new seat module or could this be something else?

Did u fix the Dynamic Seat ? is it the "Seat Module" ? what is that anyways ? pls let me know your experience on fixing it.

If your car has the ELW extended warranty through MB, the drive dynamic seats aren't covered...neither is the stereo...the only 2 things that don't work properly on my car.

My seats were also quitting, but a restart would have them working again ... seat module replacement was their solution.

Although this is an older thread, I'll comment. Both of my seats pulsate for roughly 20 minutes and then shut off on their own. The red light shuts off but you can turn them on again. I don't know if it is by design, but its not a huge annoyance to me. I've also had the lower lumber auto-inflate while driving but this has only happened twice in the past 2 months.

The seat will only turn on if someone is sitting on the seat (reason for blinking light on passenger seat, if empty).

I had a pump and bladder replaced on drivers side (red light on but not working) and module replaced on passenger side. All covered by warranty.

In my case the seats were simply quitting.

I would be driving with Dynamic on and I'd feel the seat just deflate. No lights. Would not restart or work again until I'd shut the car off and restarted.
