Bad Johnson pump?

Anyone having failures with the Cm30? I have about 3500 miles and just data logged today and no pump. Planned to Dyno Friday and hit the track but will have to wait now.

The 80mm TB sure feels strong , added on top of the pulley

My ATAP had to be reflashed from an online update glitch and was gone for 3 weeks. I dynoed two weeks ago and ATAP was gone, so I did not know what the IAT`s were on the dyno.. I think they went very high, as heater line blew off and power drops were crazy..I see the pump is rated for 212F and I guess we could have fried the pump on the dyno? No way to tell.. I will double test power to the pump before jumping to a lot of conclusions..

I knew I should have babysat the dyno operator but was on a phone call. I heard him blast WOT through at least 2-4th gear twice.

Tested the pump and it has power going to it , so pump is bad. 1 year warranty, so back it goes Glad I had ATAP. Without it, I would wonder ever time the car felt a little slow if the pump was out.

Yeah, you are lucky you caught that as I would imagine your pump being out eventually would have caused some heat stress type related failure.

Thread resurrection!!!

I'm having some abnormal IAT and at this point, I'm blaming my Johnson pump.

Exotic,

How did you test the power to going to pump?

I wonder if I can try and get mine cover under warranty as I have only had it installed for about 2 months.

What is the best and correct way to test if the pump is working or not?

With SDS plug in the cable to the OBD2 and go to Drive, ME2.8 and then click on actuations and then scroll down to M44(charge air cooler recirculation pump) and click on that so that you can turn the pump on and check if is working.

Without SDS just unplug the connector and use a power probe to the positive on the pump and see if it turns on.
