It's okay, Max. R1racer called me to ask if it was okay to post the vid. I told him to go ahead. He's squeezing 110 shot in that vid. If he were to go with 150 I know for a fact he'll beat me. For sure, he and I will be doing more Mexico runs. Of course, you'll be invited and Vic too if his schedule permits.

Joe, I know, I was just messing around
After walking a stock 996tt on sat. I am going to ease up on the high speed Mexico runs for a while. This guy was a wild one. It was like trying to ride a bucking bronco! He did not go quietly I am going to try and make it to the track rental at Bakersfield for some real fun! Safe too.

Yes way, It was your car for sure. I think you started out on placentia going north and made a right on orangethorpe. Thats where I was in the 335. Going east on orangethorpe right by the 57 on ramp. I would say about 3-4 months ago. It just came to mind... I couldn't even catch up to say thanks for blowing my doors off! Just saw a white blur

2005 E55
BenzoBoi: Yes, it was towards the very top of 2nd gear. I think it was around 5800 rpm or so.
All runs were done in sport mode, started at the very top of 2nd gear at 70mph. Start at as high of an rpm as you can. If I had started in 3rd the car would have to build up the power band and likely net a completely different outcome. All you 55 beasts, don't forget..

2007 E63 AMG
Finally, I finished editing the vid. Here it is. I removed my buddy's ugly face as best as I can.
M5 mods at that time: Evosport headers, ESS tuning, BMC filter/RPI scoops, RPI pulley, and Arquay exhaust
E63 mods: Superchips tuning, VRP filter/RPI scoops, and Renntech exhaust
As you can see, I jumped him and as we approached 130+ he caught up and eventually passed me.

I find that modding an M5 with ECU, pulley, filters, and scoops is really not a huge thing. The ECU gains are claimed by some and not by others and neither are the pulleys. The pulleys allow the car to run more efficient. The scoops have some tangible gains (15 hp or so) but over all the HP gained from these minor mods (pricewise) are not heavy IMHO.
Now headers is another arguement where some cars have gained upwards of 45 hp and then others only 20 hp. I found that I actually lost a few hp with my exhaust but the sound is amazing. Others have claimed nice gains from their exhaust.
My old E55 was pushing about 490 hp when it raced a few 30-160mph rolls with an M6 with ECU only. The M6 held 1/2 car length all the way to 160. In fact it actually jumped out ahead with the ECU throttle response upgrade.
I really need to get my car out to see how bad I get beat or keep up.
