Exactly ... everyone loves to just cite hp and tq (or associate such numbers with comparos)- lets not forget about weight and gearing which clearly enables the 997s (along with the mods) to shine against stock 55's.

Didn't realize it was modded. I usually assume a car is stock unless noted. Then again I should realize what forum I'm on. I should assume a car is MODDED.

nice runs guys! this was the first time i suffered major heat soak issues. i felt my sc shut off for the first time and was unable to run kenny's M5 from a dig 
. i guess the fact that we are not on the highway this time made a big difference in cooling for me.
i saw ed filming at the end of the road near the intersection
. does the camera have zoom? i lift at 130 and pretty much coast to end of the street. M5's were hitting, dare i say?.......... ludicrous speed!

I'm going to have to run the Dinan M5 again. Fortunately, he's always game. Probably won't be any different, but what the H311? I'm a gluten for punishment. Take for example, the M5 with NOS (not spraying; I'm not worth it
). I'm always running him on our way from SD to LA. Haven't beat him yet from a roll.

It's a messed up feeling when your straightline beast loses to a 997S.

yes it was a nice long stretch
. i guess im just a drag racer. not a nascar racer. 
just looking to play with another stop light hero, not michael schumacher. it is clear i would get 
at those speeds.

These are the mods on the Dinan M5: Dinan Diff 3.91, Dinan section 3 exhaust, Dinan Intake, Dinan Stage III Software, Dinan Pulley and 19” HRE Titanium Super light C90.
The Dinan stroker than Darren Dallas has is all together a different animal.

yeah the Dinan stroker is crazy and not cheap ... I look forward to more runs, maybe this time with the 997TT??
