They sure do....I'm loving mine so far.

Here's a quick teaser of the wheels...they will look a lot different than how you see them here in the picture. They will be painted sometime in the next couple weeks.

Here is the grille that we painted Matte Black today. It is Mercedes 040 base coat and a Spies Hecker Semi-Gloss clear coat.

I took the grille apart to make sure both pieces were fully painted, and to prevent any chipping or peeling whatsoever.

When he gets the time to drop it off at our shop

You wanna get that ELM in before we leave for SEMA?

Haha that's exactly when I'll be getting the tint done.

James,

Once the wheels are ready to go on the car is when I think we should do the ELM (and the tint)...that way I can have both on when I go for my alignment.

I can't wait, couple more weeks and I can REALLY be happy with this beast.

looks great man. I like they way you did your taillights. Its opposite of the way people usually do it and yours doesn't sacrifice any taillight light. I love the color of your car though, its a great color to accent with carbon fiber.

Okay...I was out of town last week at SEMA and an autobody convention called NACE. But, while I was gone the work continued on my car. They didn't get to the wheels but we shot the roof, replaced the roof rails with factory black 040 ones, vent grille, and did the flat hood emblem custom (matte black star and center)

Here are a few pictures to show the new work, more progress to come..

Black roof and roof rails (pano look without the extra 200 lbs!)

Vent grille in matte black (to go with the rest of my look)

Matte black centered flat hood badge...turned out perfect

The old with the new, both with black painted roofs (the car is being picked up by its new owner this afternoon)

Did they have to do any special prep work to paint over the chrome on your front grille? I've heard of lots of people having problems with the grille easily chipping because of the chrome, to the point where some people wrap them in ventureshield/clear vinyl to protect it.

The work you've done so far looks great!

New Wheels & Tint

Okay...so the wheels took some time and we waited an extra week for the paint to cure and harden up a bit more but this is the result. I also had the windows tinted (20% all the way around).

We painted the wheels a matte black (with semi-gloss clear) center and did the dish a matte flint grey (Spies Hecker Flint Grey base coat with Spies semo-gloss clear as well). I figured I would mix it up a bit as I mostly see guys do all black on the wheels.

I'll be doing a photoshoot with the car in the next couple weeks so you guys can see some real pics...next mod will most likely be matte black badges/emblems

enjoy...

How much to have the stock grille painted matte black?

Is the chrome really stripped off before painting?

Thanks..I'm sure it would look good but it's not something I'd consider at the moment.

Ronnie PM sent...we didn't strip the chrome, just prepped it properly. But I haven't had ANY chipping issues with my grille so far...Jangy, psuball, and bobgodd can attest to that after seeing my car today.

Thanks man...next batch of pictures will be a professional photoshoot...my photography is garbage and I shouldn't even be posting pictures that I took because it takes away from the car haha!!
